As title, misclicking this key and opening up chat box is very annoying, especially when you are trying to press an important skill (Heal, mg, hero's will etc). Once you triggered this key, you have to press 'enter' to close the chat or your skill will not be casted. This is causing a higher risk of death in boss runs. Although the key '/' is an uncommon key, but it is very frequently triggered(at least for me) when you are doing multiclienting with 2 or more keyboards with left hand. I usually put skills around the enter keys when I'm using 1 keyboard with my left hand. And, this key is not very frequently used by the players. It is only saving you 1 seconds of pressing 'enter' before typing '/' for commands. Hence, my suggestions is to have an option to disable this feature.
I'd say it's an useful shortcut key. as an all-time chatter, I've always been used to it so I don't have to get my hands off the keyboard to grab the mouse and clic the chatbox. besides, it doesn't interfere with how my skills are setup. however, the option to disable it or change the shortcut key would be great for people that encounter the same issues as you, either by multi-clienting, or keyboard setup preferences. +1
Thanks for the input! However, I thought u can't type anything else other than in-game commands after pressing '/' key? Are you refering to 'enter' key instead?
Bump for this. This key sits in a hotspot of skills on my keyboard. If it was ungreyed and given the option to customize I would love this, I hate when I accidentally hit it because it takes a second to realize why I'm not moving and suddenly typing lol
I ran into this problem often. You can use autohotkey to disable your forward slash key. You can then add in a key-combination of your choice if you ever want to actually send a forward slash (like for /partyinvite). The script to do this is 2 lines and helps tremendously. Code: $/::Return ^/::Send, / With autohotkey installed, save the above as a .ahk file, right click, and run as administrator. The forward slash key will disabled by default. If you need to actually use a forward slash then you can hit ctrl + / and it will send a real forward slash. To return to normal behavior, go to your taskbar (normally bottom right) and find the autohotkey icon. Right click the icon associated with the above script and click "exit". Nothing here breaks the 1:1 requirement requirement for key-re-bindings.
