Very minor thing. I think it would be nice if the gachapon reward messages displayed from which town's gachapon the item was obtained. Having to /find someone and potentially cc to find out where someone is gachaing is a tad annoying, and this would be a nice fix, if it is possible.
I always thought that's why we have this guide stickied: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/gachapon-list.3310/
If having to /find and cc is annoying, then I would think that having to visit the forum is also an annoyance
you could also whisper them and ask "where did you get that" since the message conveniently comes with a whisper shortcut.
As I was part of the implementation of the message, and if memory serves me, the reason the town wasn't added, is because the message might get too long, and split over two lines. I too had suggested adding the town. However, this was before there was single handedly decided that ~togglesmegas would also block those messages. Perhaps a little more discussion on both subjects should be made to reevaluate the message system.
I'd personally rather we went back to the old server announcements for gachapon and used the item smegas as a meso/nx/regular smegas sink for those who want to show off or sell items with great stats. As for the town message, well I don't mind one way or another. However, I'm going to stick to my guns on users having the option to disable item smegas (ideally independently of regular smegas). I think it's unreasonable to insist that users have to put up with these smegas regardless of whether they want to see them or not.
Can we please have this? I made a thread a while back that got some attention, but nothing really happened after that stir up.
Personally I think gacha smegas should be removed altogether to reduce some of the spam (which is already very high with with the abundance of smegas). I don't really care that X person got a Purple Gaia Cape from gachapon. Also it's indirectly helping merchants prey on noobies who's not as updated on prices. I support having Item smegas added to be able to show off equipment though. Obviously at a premium price compared to regular smegas, or a lower drop rate.
I believe opinions on this are mixed, hence it hasn't been implemented. This is something we can raise for discussion, but tbh, right now, I think our number one priority has to be the lag issues.
