Another equation for you HP aficionados.. I'll try to explain this in the most simple way possible, since I'm still not very fond of HP / MP washing. To me, it looks as if I've messed up my base stats somewhere down the line. I may even have a few points assigned solely into HP at the moment.. but I'm hoping to salvage the character instead of having to make a new one. Hopefully some of you will find this as a fun math problem. I left off a Level 62 Assassin. My goal is to get ~19k HP by Level 155 (or lower) if possible. It's base stats are as follows: 3706 HP / 1012 MP || 4 STR / 27 DEX / 226 INT / 71 LUK I have 0 AP to spend from level ups at the moment. With all of my INT gear equipped, I can reach up to 300 INT. Can I reach my goal of ~19k HP at Lv. 155 or below? If so, what's the lowest level I can achieve it? I'd prefer to reach my goal at the lowest level possible. A step-by-step explanation of the process I would need to follow would be much appreciated. Bonus points for the number of AP Resets I'm going to need. Cheers
yes, you can still reach your goal. Assuming you're receiving maple warrior 20 from an ulu2 leech at level 90, you can reach 19k hp at level 155 with a mp washing from lv 118. You will end up needing 222 ap resets to reset base int, 588 to wash out your hp, and 185 ap resets from lv 118 to mp wash. Until level 118, add all of your level up AP into luck, then every level up after that, add your level up ap into mp to begin mp washing. At 155, you begin by taking out all of the extra mp ap you have by going -mp + stat, then begin resetting the int back into your main stat at lv 155. Finally, once all is done, add one level up stat into hp to be able to wash then do -mp +hp. This method will require around 995 aprs total. You can also reach the hp goal at lv 135, so you have more damage for bossing, however it's a little bit more expensive, requiring around 250 ap resets to mp wash from lv 87~135 (25o). This would allow your washing to be mostly done at that point so you can level faster by getting into more boss runs. This method will require around 1121 aprs total. Essentially mp washing is increasing your mp, but only works by adding level up ap. With AP washing, you need a level up ap in hp in order to begin washing, generally taken out of a stat and left until washing is finished, and you remove all of the extra mp you gain upon levelling up to gain more hp. Edit: also keep in mind that a bfc, mon and hp quest can account for around 100,300 and 500 hp respectively, meaning if you want 19k hp you will only have to wash to 18,100, reducing the amount you spend on aprs and leaving you with a little more mp.
wew lad thats a lotta money.. So if I'm going the cheap route, my guide would essentially look like this: * * Have All INT gear equipped during every Level Up * * 1. Level up to 90 WITHOUT MW20. (Lvups. 63 - 90) -Add 5 AP into LUK every level. 2. Level up to 118 WITH MW20. (Lvups. 91 - 118) -Add 5 AP into LUK every level. 3. Level up to 155 WITH MW20. (Lvups. 119 - 155) -Add 5 AP into MP every level then use AP Resets to -MP +HP. 4. After reaching Level 155, Use AP Resets to -MP and +LUK until BASE THIEF MP is reached. Is this correct? I still feel I'm missing something. I was always under the impression that you could HP Wash without losing any Damage Stats in the end. If it's incorrect, please fix where I'm wrong.. Thanks again.
For step 3 and 4 you can reset the mp directly into your main stat - which is probably what you were thinking. It's important to remember all of the ap you have placed into mp, so i recommend just letting all of the ap stack up from 118 all the way to 155 then do all the mp washing in one go, adding fresh ap into mp then -mp + luck. Additionally after step 4, you'll want to reset all of the int back into luck too. Apart from that, everything seems to be right. Keep in mind that the extra mp you gain isn't going anywhere. You can focus on funding the mp washing (fresh ap into mp, -mp +luck) and int washing (-int + luck at level 155) and still have around 6-7k hp which is more than enough to get you through zak and krex. Aim for little goals, like washing to 12k hp that would need around 300 aprs, allowing you to participate in shao and horntail, and only worry about doing the final stretch to 19k hp when you really need to.
I'm still very confused. If I am adding AP into LUK in steps 3 and 4, where does the HP come from? I'm pretty sure this is still wrong, but this is how my guide would look now with the info you're giving me: * * Have All INT gear equipped during every Level Up * * 1. Level up to 90 WITHOUT MW20. (Lvups. 63 - 90) -Add 5 AP into LUK every level. 2. Level up to 118 WITH MW20. (Lvups. 91 - 118) -Add 5 AP into LUK every level. 3. Level up to 155 WITH MW20. (Lvups. 119 - 155) -Hold onto every AP Point after every Level Up. 4. After reaching Level 155, take note of how much AP Points are saved up. (Should be 180 AP ready to use) Add 1 AP into HP and 179 into MP. (1 Point into HP will allow AP Resets to be used on MP) 6. Use 179 AP Resets to -MP and +LUK 7. Use 222 AP Resets to -INT and +LUK 8. Use 1 AP Reset to -HP and +LUK (Gaining back the 1 AP used in Step 4) Again, if this looks wrong, you're more than welcome to just change any numbers or words in it.. That would make it much more easy for my feeble mind to comprehend..
So the hp comes from excess mp gained from having all the int + int gear. For every ten int you have, you gain one extra mp. You use this extra mp as a basis of taking away mp and adding it to hp (hp washing). For step 4: After reaching 155, take note of the ap you have and place all AP into MP. This should be around 180. Use 180 resets -mp and + luck. For resetting the int, you will want to use one ap in int to place into hp so that you are able to wash (this is a mechanic that unlocks hp washing) - so it should look like 221 AP resets -int +luck, then 1 AP Reset -int, +hp (to unlock hp washing). Until you are finished washing you should try to leave the 1 ap in hp, as if you take it out, like in step 8, before you finish washing, you will need to put it back in to continue. Then for the actual Hp Washing - with 1 ap from int, in hp - You are able to -MP +HP. This is essentially taking out all of the "extra mp" above your minimum mp to place into hp. In a nutshell it should look like: 1) 63~118 All AP into Luck 2) 118~155 All AP into MP (easier to figure out how much ap resets you will need if you hold onto all the ap until 155 - it makes no difference in the total mp gained) At Level 155: 3) 180 AP Resets -MP, +Luck - this will remove all of the ap you placed in mp, only leaving the extra mp gained from having int. 4) 221 AP Resets -Int, +Luck, 1 AP Reset -INT + HP - This will remove all of your excess int, and the 1 apr moving int into hp is to unlock hp washing 5) 588 Ap Resets -MP +HP, 1 AP Reset -HP + Luck - This is the actual HP washing, and the final apr is to remove the actual ap placed into HP. It is very important that you do all of the MP Washing (180 Resets) before removing all of your int, as it is influenced by your total int. Therefore, do it in the order i listed them above. Hopefully, this makes a little more sense about what you need to be doing
Metang, I am sorry but you are providing a bad suggestion to OP. Please, DO NOT PUT YOUR FRESH AP into LUCK! The reason is, If you put fresh AP into HP, you gained 20-24 HP per AP (averaging 22) If you do, -MP +HP, you can only gained 16~20HP per AP (averaging only 18) Therefore, try placing as many as FRESH HP into HP and take advantage of it. NOTE: Only THIEF "suffers" from this inconvenient, the other classes can use the simple -MP +HP method to wash with no disadvantage.
Yes, I agree w zyj and just confirm this as many thief wash here already know, put your fresh AP to HP you gain ~22HP per AP. Use APR to -MP +HP you gain ~18HP per AP. (4HP different is a big number when you wash ~300-400 point). It work like this for thief (borrow from sparky from another thread): So better you should put direct fresh AP from lvling up to HP to get most benefit from washing. I do from early lvl like: lvl up then + fresh AP to HP then - MP +INT to build up your base int to your desired base int...
