1) Head over to Dead Mines II and hunt some Miner Zombies and Flyeyes. Sophia's Bedroom is nice as well if you can one shot the Voodoos. Coolie Zombies give a consistent amount per hour while also being decent training. Ghost Ship maps aren't too bad and they have great NPC rates. 2) The bugs that are associated with Shadowers have not been fixed as far as I know. 3) it's not really a bug, it's more like a very long delay for your main attacking skill, Boomerang Step. The cool down rate for BS is extremely long, making Shadower DPS highly dependent in Me so Explosion for a majority of bosses. BS is still a very useful skill that should be maxed as soon as possible, however.
At lvl 72, go straight to himes with a priest and get them to lure then into a corner for you so you can bomb them. You get a crazy amount of exp ~900%/hr.
I basically maxed ME asap, so lvl 7, 5k bags at first, lowered with each lvl but this is barely noricable seeing as you lvl so quickly. You will end up making money overall.
The thing is I m kind of a solo guy, and I don't have (or need) to grind as a party if party requirement is compulsory. I know that I sound ignorant but I don't like to look for party every single time. Beside I am planing to grind at Goby. What do you think? P.S. @Plenty + Stan: Thank you very much.
I'm glad to hear you like my guide and that it's helpful to you! To answer your questions: 1) Bandits are relatively hard to fund by farming. @Plenty said correctly where you can hunt. Your best shot for money is Gachapon. At your level, equips aren't that important: You need money to bomb. Use gachapon tickets at places like NLC, Kerning or Mushroom Shrine and sell the valuable items you might get. 2) Those bugs aren't fixed, no. Ninja Ambush is quite useless even if it would work, so that's not a problem. Assassinate still can d/c you at bosses. 3) There's not a bug with Boomerang Step. The point @Plenty is trying to make in that guide is that Boomerang Step is very weak compared to skills of other classes (in v62, that is). There's been discussion of switching to v86 skills, which would benefit Boomerang Step. Right now, it has a 2-second delay; in v86, it had a 1-second delay. There's a point where a Bstep+Assassinate combo could easily out-DPS ME, but the problem is the Assassinate bug. :/ I thought I posted this yday but the website problems right now might've fucked it up. O:
You could, but I think Dreamy Ghosts are better for pure XP. @Marty Just tried out Meso Explosion at level 1 and good lord... The magic number to blow up all the Dreamy Ghosts in the entire map is 130k per spawn. It's worked for me since level 1 to 10 Meso Explosion. I'll try and figure out the XP rates tomorrow because I was still trying to get use to it, but I completely plowed through 70-74 in a matter of half an hour.
What bag size? 3x 43,333 meso bags won't kill them... At max ME, it's 2.2k bags. If you use bags that are too big, you overkill.
I have tested Gobies, fun to grind. Cant find a Priest to come with me to Himes unfortunately. Currently I m maxing out Meso Explosion, I start to drop meso bag fast w/o mouse and mass grinding with Meso Explosion, unique experience lol. Are there any places I could grind with thick mobs density? Ex: Forest of Golems, but it is quite under level i think, places like Gobies would be nice.
5k is highly overkill... I'll make a table of how much you should drop with what bag size to ensure 1-hits and great efficiency. And Plenty, remember what I sent you as PM about this guide? Can you give me feedback on that? I guess you forgot. O:
@neily I don't know of better spots than Gobies and Himes, where Himes is clearly superior. ONe option is Crimson Guardians, which I've never tested out, though; another would be Elderwraiths @ Evil Dead. They come to you, so you don't need someone to lure. The spawn rate isn't terribly high, nor is the XP (Himes > all for sure), but the money is decent since they drop high amounts of mesos and Soiled Rags. Maybe worth a shot. If you can find a Priest, though, GO HIMES. It's incredible XP, and cheaper than BFing for sure. (BFing XP is superior to everything, though)
Does damage of ME go up as you level the skill up? I know it says that Mastery goes up, but I can't say I've seen a noticeable difference in damage. Used 25 x 2,000 and worked out pretty well at level 10 Meso Explosion. I'm using my Bishop (Plenty) as a lure/Holy Symbol mule.
The Mastery is a variable in the damage formula, so yes. Lv1 ME will deal half the damage of Lv30 ME.
Would it be to calculate Meso Explosion damage my multiplying both the mastery percentage and bags dropped at that level/20 to determine Meso Explosion damage? Example Level 10 Meso Explosion: 68,000 for Dream Ghosts 14 Bags per Meso Explosion divided by 20 78% Mastery (Estimate Number in Graph) * (14/20) * (0.78) Then once you find a solution that equals to a bit above 68,000, you'll know how much to drop per cycle.
Yes, exactly. The problem is to find the formula that leads to the estimate number in the graph... Not to mention, those estimates aren't 100% accurate. The damage range of ME is quite big, so there might be some slight mistakes in there.
Updated the guide with the following: Freeze bug at bosses added (ME section) Recommended equips updated, will be expanded with moar numbers. Training section re-written and updated. Credits updated. Still things I want to do: Meso Explosion damage formula Bag size/bag amount for Meso Explosion grinding (numbers! Only have the Himes numbers in there, those are the most important, anyway). Adding a 3rd and faster bombing technique.
So the best place to train from 70-120 is bombing Dreamy Ghosts or leeching? I've been getting around 15,000,000 XP/Hour bombing Dreamy Ghosts using my Bishop to lure. I can imagine this going up if you had a dedicated Priest/Bishop rather than an alt. acc. As for a sweet spot number, I find dropping 25x2,000 bags to be effective. Easy to track how many bags you've dropped and you make up for it and then some by the meso drops and NPC equips alone, not to mention the scrolls.
