The description says your attack will be followed by a stronger attack. If you use a mobbing attack it doesn't. This thing takes 30 SP. THIRTY! I think any skill that takes 30 skill points is meant to have a little payoff. And in the case of FA there is already the fact it ruins your timing severely to consider. I think this skill was meant to be a double edged blade; but in the proverbial sense where you choose to take some damage in tradeoff for dealing more damage. I'm pretty sure the proverb never meant both edges of the blade cut the user. And besides being a total beginners trap for people who don't want their hands held by using guides, or those who played official servers where the skill wasn't bugged like EMS, it also wastes the GMs time when people choose to reset the SP into 1st job skills, which SP resets currently don't allow. So I'd suggest(using warrior as the example) : 1. Update the skill so the ratio of damage from FA after Slash Blast matches the ratio of damage from FA after Power Strike. (ie. Just a little bit more than the initial hit) 2. Update the description. 3. Allow players to reset SP into previous jobs by themselves. This would also make training lvls 90-120 instead of leeching an option for many people. Feedback welcome!
any word on this??? it's incredibly frustrating while training. especially as white knight on non-element-weak mobs. it would be so much faster mobbing with final attack de-bugged. not sure why this wasn't done in the past, honestly (unless it's really hard to code or something) because this has been an issue people have been complaining about long before this server even existed. anyway, admins please look into this!
or maybe, just ignore final attack, and change charge blast for WK from consuming a charge, to allow infinite use during a charge, and change advanced charge to just increase damage on charge blast. this seems fair to me, considering how dk's have incredible mobbing skills at 3rd job, and crusaders have a similar approach to charge blast but they dont have to recast their combo after using their attack... a bit off topic but definitely note worthy in my opinion.
How was GMS bugged and EMS not? Also, pretty sure the attack is stronger on single target, it just quickly gets worse on multiple targets. Also also, theres crap skills in all jobs- why arent those considered bugged?
Even on single target it locks your character into the motion and while the damage is comparable to Power Strike it’s essentially the same as just using that twice, the only advantage being FA not consuming the tiny bit of MP Power Strike requires. It’s strictly worse than Slash Blast. Even if it were changed to do a repeat of Slash Blast rather than divide the damage it would serve no purpose. Big Bang changed the skill to simply add the damage instantly to a Power Strike / Slash Blast as an extra line rather than play another animation. This would be a good rework of the skill even in this version to give it some use. Since it only activates with these two skills it would have no effect whatsoever on Warriors’ endgame position while making them easier to train at lower levels.
The main advantage of it is that it's a lot faster than a normal power strike so your dps will be increased in 1vs1
This is what I love about it, it fires off one speed faster, great for 1v1, but really The extra speed helps a lot with booster in cpq and ppq especially if you main axe/bw. The hang time when you miss doesn't bother me at all, only the really weird slash blast damage. There is almost no dire instance of final attack proccing when you don't want it to that matters at all, this isn't 135+ bossing It helps wks out a lot who hunt HH or BF or pap before 4th (and max blast) who are the absolute worst 3rd job class, no contest
