Its been awhile a GPQ rewards thread has been made so here are some suggestions for GPQ rewards to make the PQ more attractive. 1. a ring that adds hp + one all stats with one slot (untradeable) 2. a belt similar to black belt as an alternative to dojo (untradeable) 3. earrings with hp and one all stats with 5 slots (untradeable) 4. gelt chocolate and banana graham pie 5. 30% atk scrolls for weapons 6. nx drops from bonus boxes 7. utilize the point system on the guild rankings (maybe reach a certain amount points and you can trade it in for chairs and some custom made nx items) 8. rewarding the top three guilds 4-6 months with something (not sure what can it be yet), this will keep the guilds competitive These are just some of my suggestions for GPQ Rewards but feel free to input other feedback . Most importantly, lets make GPQ great agian!
I really like the idea of a reward system as well as some untradeable belts (Not sure on the stats, but including the "godly" system, something that would come close to the black belt because come on; that belt is annoying and not interactive at all to get.)
Custom made untradeable mage only elemental ring affected by godly stats that gives+% dmg to lightning and poison. Imagine 5% as base, with godly, up to 10%. Then wear 4 for 40% damage increase.
With the amount of hackers roaming the world of MapleRoyals. I don't think GPQ should be prioritized after everything has been solved/fixed/banned but its indeed a content that does requires some rework. the current notable skillbooks from GPQ - Assassinate 30 - ifrit 30 are actually quite very profitable for such an low level content, instead of large tweaks to the drops such as stated by OP. Spoiler Honestly having a 1bil value BiS ring clean (even though its not tradeable) is quite seriously pointless. that aside i really like @Cold Area idea, but its doesn't sits quite right with MapleRoyals. Other then that, this can be quite a interesting update Theres more interesting suggestions in this thread back in Oct 2018, where developers should still look further into when perhaps considering its rework.
100 and 250 NX cards would be a good prize for GPQ, as it would have no effect on the economy. One of the things to consider in regard to GPQ’s rewards is that it has no daily limit like CWK or bosses. Evening something like Gelts needs to be taken with a grain of salt because their increased availability would devalue apples, a limited resource since you can only APQ four times per day per married character. I know in GMS you could get summoning sacks which are for the most part just a “for fun” item and some scrolls. And there’s always everyone’s favorite: chairs.
Just more time and no foreground obstructions would be nice. List of potential bonus room add-ons~ •Adding mimics that can stun or slow you but also have decent/increased drops of anything in bonus (and their own monster cards) •random monster cards •gach ticket x1 •100 nx card •excavator goggles (reskinned gold lens untradable specs with no slots and 1-2 int/luk/speed, no lvl req, can't be godly) •one stirge w/ high avoid in map with a key to a chest w/ improved drops or unique chance item •ergoth cloak nx overall/cape •scrollable (3 slot, normal ungodly stats) permanent untradable protector rock earrings (for the hardcore gpq runners and lovers to flaunt), or protector rock nx earring •reskinned squishy shoes with higher base stats, untradable, mountain squishy shoes (prevents slipping) •pet HP scrolls •increased mesos (no copper coins) •free increased guild capacity ticket •ergoth/excavator related nx equips (ergoth staff/shovel, pickaxe weapon, etc) •treasure hunter label ring and quote ring (treasure chest logo with coins, jewels, sparkles etc, chat bubble emenating from open chest lined with similar decorations •high lvl shield with 10 slots for warriors, or gellerhead shield nx cover or singing shield (from 4th job quest line) nx cover •unlockable guild emblem options •first job tier everstone (intended for sacrifice mules to find, tradeable only once) •bosshunter gear •bosshunter stimulator (to create godly-affected bosshunter gear) •scraps of ws •scraps of cs? •pharaoh wrappings, stone tiger, lefay jewel etc •x1 APR •any current event items in bundles •total guild points increase exp gain in gpq up to a certain %, and increase drop on lower tier items, and some higher tier items, up to a capped % •current event (xmas/Halloween/etc) items (snow/candy), as well as event based/seasonal nx/rp •rotating exclusive nx (untradable) •invisible guild cover, invisible medal cover, invisible pet, invisible pet name, invisible pet nametag nx IDK lol Would love all this stuff, and none of it affects main gameplay, just fun, obviously low rates. I know it's all bonkers colorful but I mean, I can't help it lol A dynamic like in pirate pq--where optional in-pq events are triggered that results in a more difficult ergoth (higher hp/dmg, takes like extra 20 minutes to down) boss battle results, for higher levels and challenge: •gpq points slowly drain during fight •meso explosion immune •All holy skills immune •Res/holy shield can't be used in this fight (you have to walk back, costing time) •casts seduce •all statues and summons are holy immune. summons have perma w.cancel and act like dunas battle ship, making ergoth invincible until destroyed, requiring arch mages to clear them •can hit with some attacks thru smoke •can afflict you with all status effects •summons two reskinned, undead bigfoot, (perion themed, no knockback. greyish with totem like vibe). Are holy/heal weak, can be sealed, rushed. unique monster cards and exp/loot •drops full array of boss loot, 5k, equips, unique NX (ergoth hat nx, ergoth mask nx, ergoth cloak/overall/cape nx, ergoth staff nx) •exp depends on party, etc •can only summon 1-2x daily. Guildies who have ran already can't enter ergoth throne room until after battle or are warped straight to bonus •Stone Maiden medal awarded for 20 hard to ergoth kills, higher hp than ergoth bane: +1 INT +1 STR +888 HP +444 MP +222 DEF/M.DEF/hands -(minus) 10 speed -(minus) 5 jump looks like the power gaurd statue or similar icons on label Also pls only two rounds instead of three in stage one would be great, stage one kills all momentum can even make the prompts longer to start. Also removing the timer countdown to enter, just do signup totals and insta enter when ready (like boss expeditions). This and stage one are very drawn out and time consuming, and the rest of the pq can already be fairly time consuming if it doesn't go perfect
although assassinate and ifrit 30 seems profitable but the PQ is not deem attractive enough for players to attend
It just needs some slight variation so it has replayability outside of just the bonus round--which could really use a splash of color and intrigue for all levels as well. An optional harder ergoth for higher ups (many guilds are 135+), new monster cards (harder ergoth card, phantoms in fountain room, statue cards), some RNG that won't crash a run but affect it +/-, and a more exciting bonus, without godly items or sbs Everyone's argument is that the pq can be run in 15-20 minutes if you do everything perfect, and I think that's a really bad way to approach the pq by assuming everyone runs it perfect, no problems and knows exactly what to do, which is why RNG and challenges within the pq would give it replayability. The pirate pq mechanism is the perfect example of how to maybe mess around with it (hidden rooms with optional triggers, resulting in an altered boss fight)
I see your trying to suggest a exciting reward to be included to boost GPQ Popularity. But Point 1,2 & 4 is seriously too powerful to be meant for GPQ rewards. Yet tweaking them into a weaker state would then eventually make it into something that players wouldn't even care. Example instead of a Black Belt alternative into a 2/2/2/2 belt with 1 slot. Would you even want that? I believe further suggestions should keep this aspect in mind Difficult of content = Quality of rewards given imo the Scaling GPQ against CWKPQ CWKPQ : ★★★★★ GPQ : ★★ CWKPQ comes with an attractive reward of 5weapon attack BFC which worth around 400mil right now An average equipment loot should probably be worth roughly 50%~60% less. Which is roughly ~200mil My example suggestion would to be include a new BiS for this particular class, Shield Warriors. In this thread, Gellerhead Shield Buff included many wonderful ideas of reworking this particular item to be the best in slot shield. This is a similar idea from some really well written suggestions in that thread. I strongly agree that Maple Shield should no way be the best in slot for our dear Shield-Warriors, and having this to be included as a regular drop in GPQ might be a decent rework. Gellerhead Shield (Tradable) Req Level: 120 Suggested Average Stats : 7Weapon Attack with 7 Slots Basically when a godly system one does drop, example it reaches to a point of a clean 15weapon attack When scrolled perfectly 7 times with 10%+ws. it becomes 14STR & 36weapon attack. Is it very broken? not exactly. How much would players value these perfect clean ones? Probably 2bil~2.5bil Average ones? Probably 180mil~250mil Still very worthwhile to gamble several 30% and finish it with 60%s to aim for around 25weapon attack goal. To sum things up. This isn't the best Gellerhead shield rework, but something that our dear paladin/1h hero friends would love to have & to be included into the game, that isn't too broken yet with a high demand. Perhaps the OP of the thread can come up with further suggestions of what this somewhat neglected class is looking for and come out with more balanced yet interesting rewards @Haplopelma
Kinda different no? Its still basically an example of an item of value & and a rough market demand Meanwhile to quote that quality suggestion that includes the rework for the gellerhead shield Spoiler But this is about GPQ revamp, so lets keep the gellershield discussion there
Basically the same but I left it open ended too, and this was before the gm blog, so it's much more likely gellerhead will just be 10 slots, or all shields after a certain lvl will have them anyway. But also suggested nx cover items to to cover my base because I didn't expect them to go this route anytime soon, also for some spice for all players who use shields Singing shield nx cover would be sooo rad
Addition of particular NX would probably fall under here Untradeable Anvil (Turns any normal equip into untradeable NX) with a lower drop rate similar to the GPQ chair would probably be the "rad" one and make people go wild for GPQ. Theres soo much demand for it yet, still unclear whether is it possible for it to be implemented.
15 atk clean would be way overpowered. Let us not forget that a 30 attack shield cost on average 50 white scrolls to make (i am gonna assume people 30% 5 times before starting to WS a maple shield) . This would make a shield that is way better than any alternative for cheaper. I think it is not a very good rework. Having a shield with that much clean attack that is obtainable many times over will completely ruin the shield market because it becomes way too easy to make a perfect shield that starts with 15 atk. Drop 2-3 30% and then ws for 3-4 slots for something that strong seems wrong. Furthermore, I think Gellerhead should remain a reward for obtaining guardian. If this shield get reworked somehow, it would be extremely satisfying reaching lvl 120 and being able to obtain this shield. If we want to add another shield to drops, make it somewhat similar but different.
Nah that's way too good of a get for gpq, those will for sure be RP items And I just mean custom nx as rewards in gpq, would be really fun, a perfect everyone item, (like the ergoth cloak and weapon, excavator nx gear etc. Would be fun for guilds to wear when they run. Maybe use wearing them as small exp buffs or meso/drop buffs in bonus)
I don't necessarily agree with having such op rewards for GPQ. For my guild at least, we regularly GPQ and rather than having it as a get rich quick kinda scheme its more of a way to get to know newer members of the guild, because let's be real theres nothing better than pqing to get to know someone. Ive played servers where GPQ was a crucial part of upgrading your gear, dropping tons of high end gear occasionally, and I don't think that its that appropriate considering it can be farmed in around 10 minutes. I do however, agree with adding 30% scrolls into the mix. Currently, most people do 10 GPQ's for the ergoths bane medal, then only really continue to do so for fun, rather than drops, with the exception of people grinding for the chair. If anvils do ever get added, I would LOVE for them to drop from GPQ. It would add more relevance to the PQ and keep people coming back to this party quest, bringing guild members closer. It's a harmless cosmetic, but I feel as though if it does get added, the GM's will want to make it as a nx/meso sink so will be unlikely
I disagree. Good things does not only comes from the RP shop. We’ve all have taken a spin in the RP shop at least once and in no way does it displays our server host to be one thats greedy for money. Meanwhile APRs is doing wayy to good of a job for the NX sink department. Imo, this item only has a slim chance to be implemented. From the other thread, or players like @Cooler mentioned. Unique NX drops seems like something that is overall in demand. Be it something universal like an Anvil or heck A simple untradable suprise box drop from rewards with several selected NX & pets thats limited from GPQ could be another decent idea. To sum my above mentioned suggestions. Skillbooks are already very rewarding, forcing another equipment drop scaling with GPQ’s difficulty might still be alittle too much. But a slight push with these NX, Topping it up with your ranking system OP suggested in point #8. I don’t see why GPQ wouldn’t become something competitive amongst every guild, instead of leaving it as a half dead content.
I appreciate suggestions and feedback from everyone. It is a difficult matter to implement rewards that can scale with GPQ and not devalue other items such as apples, ring of alchemist, dojo belts and so on. I do agree adding in exclusive nx in gpq is a good idea. Further discussion is needed probably
