Anything but the ham since ham is on the lower side protein/gram and tends to have higher fat relative to the other meat options (iirc you’re watching your cals). Whatever tastes best out of those options should be totally fine. I think the turkey tacos sound like the best middle ground option of taste and nutrition without being too boring which IMO something like chicken/potatoes is. Most people have chicken/tatoes more than they do turkey tacos and I’m all about less restriction with more “exotic” food options to keep yourself sane while not hating your meals. edit: and assuming you are the one I remember, hope your diet has been going well broski
I ended up having chicken and potatoes! I totally understand your point, chicken, potatoes, and greens most meals would be a bit dull, so I change it up, by either changing the form of potato, or substituting it for rice. Yeah, ham would've been the worst "bang for my buck" of the options, but since I've been burning a lot of calories daily, I've been less worried about restriction as I was previously. Now, I can eat much more without gaining, so I have the occasional ham sandwich, because I absolutely love pork. I've just recently found ground turkey, as growing up we always had beef, and I fell in love. Not only is turkey lower in calories, but the protein content in it is pretty sweet as well. I think that where I went wrong last year when trying to build muscle was I was worried too much about calories, therefore I restricted way more than I should have, and also didn't eat nearly as much protein as what I aim for now. I've since experimented with different caloric totals and am surprised how much unnecessary restriction I made. Thank you for your response, the diet is forever evolving but I think I'm getting closer to my next goal!
