I know this is NLstory, but is NL without SE still the best single target DPS? Reason for my question is, when hunting some tanky mini boss like Pianus, BigFoot, Samurai, BlackCrow which takes around 10-20 minutes to kill. It's not short enough to be ignored, nor long enough to be played as MuleStory. Example in Pianus, you are unsure of the spawn, need to compete with others, bad exp=>no Bishop=> no door for SE mule. In such cases, which class is better as true solo? (assuming Heart Stopper, not considering HP and mobility) BM/MM (with SE) Buccaneer NL (without SE) Hero/DK (with Berserk) Paladin (with Elemental Weakness) Shadower (without Meso Explosion) Corsair It will be best if you could rank them in sequence.
I'm inclined to believe the strongest solo class is shad with no buffs, but a special mention goes to buccs against bf as they literally go roflmao against iframes
I really enjoy area bosses on my bm- can pin anything, doesn’t need any additional buffs- se, mw and you good to go. While killing one (hurricane) can easily surf other channels. Didn’t play bucc but I know they’re op for area bosses as well (excluding anego i guess)
I'd say Corsair. It has mobility, summon, mob control utility, aoe attack, target lock and broken afk-rapid fire mechanic.
I’d say that the strongest single target dps with no mules hands down are corsairs followed by buccaneers and bowmasters (the last two are a close shot). I’ve Mained bm and bucc both with perfected gear, and their dmg is pretty similar. Also, since my bucc is 30k I don’t have struggle killing anego as mentioned above. Definitely bowmasters in area bosses are more comfortable since afk hurricane is a thing, it’s way more practical since you can summon Phoenix and chill or surf another channels looking for more bosses.
Corsair will easily beat the other classes in most bosses except Bigfoot where bucc is probably the best, or multi target bosses where Hero/Drk are the best.
Corsairs are the best BF killers if they know the right distance and timing. I used to solo Bigfoots in 2min with stopper.
Indeed, there’s even a old video on YouTube teaching how to bf on corsairs and it is pretty much perfect if done properly tbh. The video is by an og player named John, the ign is intensity. The nostalgia is real lol
Corsair is to ranged what DrK should be to melee. Better than all others in their class with and without party buffs (SE, SI, etc.) but requires skill and attentiveness to maximize that potential.
+1 to sparky and raony. I would say for the average player, Bucc is the best to answer your question. Mainly bc it has good hp, decent dmg with avg funding and iframes op. If you’re willing to dedicated attention to mechanics, then Corsair is best. Corsair > Bucc > Bowmaster
I am relatively new to sair (killed maybe 20 BFs at most) and I watched that exact video to learn how to pin. But no matter how I adjust my attacking distance, 80% of the time my shots only hit every other time. So my DPS is cut in half, and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
Paladin yo. Your hp makes it insane for doing harder hitting bosses like Anego, your single target is great. Stance makes fighting some bosses a breeze and your high damage will knockback most bosses.
Bucc #1 your single target dps is 2nd without buffs just behind sair, you have great multitarget potential, which means you dont need to worry about clearing mobs, and it helps if you ever want to try soloing zak The long combo times also allow u time to do things like hs-ing yourself without losing dps/risk unpinning the boss You can also save on using att pots if you want, because you get free +20 wa from your bubble (with like 80% uptime), which makes buccs the clear winner for speed if we're talking clean runs Lastly, high natural hp means you generally arent afraid of tanking touch dmg
NL is by far the weakest attacker class without SE, I was surprised it's even a part of the poll lol Paladin should get more votes though :c
tbh NLs might still rank close to the top simply because flash jump saves you so much time, especially for bosses like pianus where you spend most of your time surfing channels instead of fighting the boss
I don’t think that the point here is mobility though. It is solely the damage per second in perfect/non perfect conditions.
Right, didn’t read the full OP text Downweighting the krex dps tests by how much each class benefits from full buffs and high atk pots should give a decent starting point to answer this question. Also, the Shaolin solo tests give a pretty reasonable comparison between the melee classes on stopper and partial buffs. Based on these results, it looks something along the lines of corsair >> shad > bucc >> bm > paladin >> drk >> hero > MM
