i suggest a room where all pq npc are gathered. maybe lounge or dimensional room can be used used to reach there.
I know that was a feature eventually added to Maplestory but it takes away from the sense of how big the game world is. No PQ in Royals is located in such an out of the way location regardless, as there all found in or very close to major towns. If you have a Fast Travel Ticket you can reach any PQ location within a couple of minutes. The only exception I’d consider is Dojo because there was originally a board in Henesys but it was probably removed for a reason. I think it would be better to provide an incentive for players to actually do these PQs as they’re often empty and players need to smega to find people to PQ with.
you will eventually have to go to grind for money and eqp. i just hate the fact that i have to go to ppq map then to r&j map to check for people with a chance to not finding anyone in either, which means my fp was worthless. and i have to use smega for both pqs to pull people to it. im around last parts of a new player and thats a big dent in my money purse... and of course in the meanwhile i wonder why i am even bothering. i thought pq room would get people together more effectively and make them choose which pq they want to play...
maybe we could shift the meta towards people meeting at lounge room to search for PQs rather than the actual place? While I understand your problem and suffering from the same, I would still not be happy if they add such extreme quick travel options. Super Starlight described it pretty well, it really kills the coherence of a game world. Such features are one of the reasons for death of MMORPGs. On the other hand, if it stops people from R>PQs, it is also not good, so I am not 100% sure, what is worse for royals. I still think that try to convince people changing their perception of PQs, lvling and such and how they want to play royals would fix this problem in a healthier way than adding a PQ room. I would rather promotoe lounge room or maybe staff can help to promote active play by R>PQs with their GM messages ...
What about putting Zak krex HT and cwk at one place? Joke aside, travelling is part of maple. There is actually discord to look for pq players other than Smega. About ppq and rnjpq back forth, I'll suggest even u might not like it, u can put a mule over another place to check if there's ppl waiting to join a pq or sthg.
think about cpq and cpq2, those pqs are the ones i see the most people in most of the time... and the reason i think it is because you can reach them from 3 different continents. lounge would be too easy as you said but what about a npc in every continent? the thing in my mind is gathering all pqers in one screen like fm, rest is open for ironing.
The Dojo boards were available in all Victoria Island towns and Orbis. In the original Maplestory, it was very common to see people using the Kerning City and Henesys Boards to do the Dojo PQ. In Royals, the boards are questionably missing in all the towns except Mu Lung. Staff members haven't explained why Dojo Boards aren't in their original place in towns as it's essential to Dojo. Could any Staff member explain what's the hold up on why Dojo boards haven't been properly placed in their town locations? Hopefully it's a "bug" that can be fixed. @Joong @Tim
I might get some hate in this thread for this, but I prefer only allowing the dojo to be accessible from Mu Lung. After all, it is called the Mu Lung dojo board. The style of the board also does not fit any of the other cities.
If that's the case, why aren't you arguing for Spiegleman to be Ludibrium only since it's "style" doesn't fit any other city? Keep in mind that people who Dojo will primarily Teleport to get to Dojo ONLY to MAYBE do a couple of runs to a full set of runs and then instantly leave back to where they were before.
The art for Spiegelmann is a person wearing a tophat. If we were to pluck him out as an image asset, I think most people wouldn't even know he belonged to Ludibrium. If we were to do the same thing to the Dojo board and showed the style of every city in the game, I bet most people would place it in Mu Lung based on its unique Asian styling. Honestly I just don't think it fits in any other city besides Mu Lung. I'm not really passionate about this topic either way, just my opinion!
For people who haven't done Dojo at all or did in GMS a long time ago, even with the board being in only Mu Lung, it's very missable. I argue that in their original locations, the distinct style allows players to know that it's for a PQ akin to how Spiegleman looks out of place in Kerning City and Orbis. It's also nostalgic for players who did Dojo in old GMS to have the Dojo boards in their original location because Kerning City/Henesys was the usual way to get to Dojo.
you made a good point, there are cases people dont know where pq npcs are or just doesnt know about the pq at all... like me, i didnt know about himes pq for a while...
see? it will also introduce new pq to new(and maybe even old) players. the answer is mushroom shrine but thats all i know
As far as I know royals have these pqs Henesyspq Kerningpq Cpq1 Cpq2 Ludipq Ludimazepq Orbispq Piratepq (herbtown) Guildpq Applepq(amoriapq) Cwkpq R&J pq (magatia) And maybe that ariant pq but I've never been there
