Hey so I'm a total maple noob, I haven't played in a long time, but I'm curious how to make money. I'm currently lvl 37, and I realized I shouldn't give my candy away for free quickly when I walked in the FM because I saw them going for 10k each, so I sold what I had and now i have 15m, but that seems like pennies compared to what things are going for. I know gatcha for scrolls is a good way (so I vote to get NX), and I saw another post mention get married and do APQ for apples? Is that the onxy apple I see in shops? I stopped playing right before amoria came out. (Also random but is leeching just sitting in a party taking EXP? Do people just do that with their second character when they're funded or are they multiboxing? Sorry I just don't get how people afford it or why do it. I have read about HP washing on here so I'm assuming you need to leech since you have have so much base INT instead of LUK as a NL for instance, and you dont really get powerful until you can apr that INT into LUK at later levels?)
1. Leeching: you can make a mage and sell leech. Low level leech is typically a 35/70 rate. If you make a bishop you can start selling low level leech from 120 foward. If you choose to make an arch mage for skele/petri down the road you will have to make a hs mule as well. While skele and petri are higher rate per hour, it also requires much more funding to 1 hit. 2. Gacha: Gacha is good because of the potential for a really good item worth hundreds of millions. However you also risk the chance of getting worthless scrolls, items, pots. The safest spot to gacha is probably Mushroom Shrine because of chaos scroll, ele6 wand and other desireable scrolls. 3. Apr: There are plenty of people who buy apr, the catch is that you need to be at least level 50 to purchase. I believe the current rate for apr is 15m per apr. You can buy 2-3 a day once you can buy them. 4. Apq: People get married for apq and the bonus drops onyx apples you see in shops. Theyre a quick way of making mesos as a typical apq is a set of 4runs usually taking 30 to 40 minutes. However, apples dropping is luck so you are not guaranteed an apple every run. Sometimes you get luck and get 5 in one run sometimes you get 0. Getting 4+ apples in a set of 4 runs is about average but you can apq daily.
When you become high level, bossing + APR are what makes you rich. (Well leeching too but honestly leeching is so boring lol)
Very useful thanks! What is 35/70 rate mean specifically? And what is a hs mule? I know what normal item mules are. And so is leeching just popular because it's easier and faster than solo/pq? Also if I were to get a good gatcha item/onyx apple, is it easy to sell without buying a FM vendor dude? Just spam S>?
35m for split leech (2 buyers they pay u 35m each person), 70m for solo leech (1 buyers paying u 70m) per hour. Hs mule is basically a mule that providing hs buff without taking exp, it can be either for leech selling purpose or bossing purpose, depends. Leeching could be faster than pq at the same time could be slower, but the main thing is washing character or AKA atker full with int can't deal damages in PQ (some pq need to deal damages) so they decide to buy leech. Or simply they are rich and lazy xD. Well, it depends, don't rly have idea about that. Personally I'll buy FM store once awhile when my bag is full. If you have time, it will be good to utilize forum selling thread to sell your item off without a store.
Starting: Level 6 to 50 Maple Island - Protect Lucas's Farm Level 6 and above You will get Work Gloves or colored work glove. Slimes Level 6 and above You can grind and collect a bunch of 200 squishy liquid, and sell them for 5 to 10m. They are used as part of the Spring of Youth quest. I recommend this location. Kerning City - Mystery of Niora Hospital Level 25 and above You will get a Old Raggedy Cape after you have completed the quest, they can be sold for about 12 to 20m clean. So do not scroll them! Pigs/Ribbon Pigs/Wild Boar Level 6 for Pigs Level 10 for Ribbon Pigs, I recommend this map Level 25 for Wild Boar, I recommend this map They drop leather, which can be used to make work gloves. Work gloves can be sold for about 500k to 1.2m each. Wild Boar also has the additional benefit of dropping Maple Weapons, which can be sold for 200k to 10m + depending on their stats and demand. Master Chronos Level 42 and above They dropped 60% for Helmet for Dex, you can sell them for 3m to 8m + per scroll. Midgame: Level 50 to 120 Coolies Zombies Level 50 ish and above They dropped Zombie's Lost Tooth, which is highly sorted after for the Orbis Exchange Quest. Some high stats equipment can be sold for a pretty penny too. Miner Zombies Level 50 ish and above They dropped Gold Zombie's Lost Tooth, which is highly sorted after for Zakum Prequest, they cost about 2 to 3m each. Voodoos Level 55 and above They dropped Heartstoppers, a highly sorted attack potion what is worth about 320k to 480k each. But the maps are quite crowded at times. Wolf Spider Level 85 and above The monsters here dropped ilbis, they cost about 1.5 to 3m. Ulu 2 Level 85 and above The monsters here dropped Red Craven, which is highly sorted by Night Lord for their endgame. White Tiger - Lushan Level 90 and above They dropped flame swords, one the endgame weapons for warriors. They are kinda rare. Headless Horseman Level 100 and above They drop an untradable ETC that is used for a midgame/early endgame necklace. Early Endgame (Level 120 +) Papulatus Level 120 and above Is worth fighting the boss daily, as it awards a decent amount of experience and has a chance of dropping 5k NX. Bigfoot Level 120 and above Is worth fighting the boss, as it awards a decent amount of experience, NX and drops an untradable etc used for a midgame/early endgame necklace.
You hadn't mentioned what job you are, but if you are or plan to be a cleric would highly recommend going to coolie zombies at lvl 54+. All you have to do is spam heal as you walk along the map killing the coollie zombies, because heal also damages them as they are the undead. You collect both the forgotten teeth and equip. Some equips i.e. mage shoes with high int like 7+ can be like 30-40m, some thief tops/bottoms can be worth something too if near/at perfect. Even if you do not get perfect equips, a full inventory of equipment from coolies can earn you 8-10m. Depending on how fast/strong you are, you can fill an inventory of equipment in like 20-30mins. Adding in your sets of teeth, every 200 teeth can sell for roughly 1.1-1.5m depending on the market. The experience you get at early levels is really great too. I would even stay there longer if you do not mind the grind of making money + grinding levels. I think my first char i was there till 60s+, only really moving to do PPQ at lvl 70+. Even if you are not a cleric, you can do the same, it just means you'll need to use pots alot more. CPQ1 is still a good option for you to level from lvl 37-lvl50 though.
Thank you all this has been very helpful! I'm a assassin right now and I have made a few mistakes (scrolled my raggedy cape) but I have been doing some stuff right (have a ton of leather from wild boar). Also, for killing papulatus at 120, is this solo or with a group? And do I don't need to be washed unless its zakum or horntail right?
This price guide here may come in handy for you as well. I think all the best tips have already been mentioned above so all there's left to say is good luck!
