I never witnessed such a thing in this community. From my experience, this community is one of the most friendly and non toxic I've ever seen. It extends to many points where people do apq together and there is some trust system that no one steal apples in a run, in bosses no one steals loot from other players and the one who sells the loot contact everyone and split the share, all based on a TRUST system that we have established here.

We have reached a point where we have a discussion about people meeting in real life and upload photos of that. It's something we've built over time. My friends here are so close to me, and I have high trust on random people I meet in game just because of the culture we have created. However, now that I've seen such a thing happen I'm losing trust in the system (I will not upload my image because those will be used as weapon against me, someone who harasses getting unbanned or banned for just 1 week?!).

This community feels a lot like family, we expose ourselves here we share pictures, thoughts we give trust in each other. If no actions are taken against the harassing guy it will be the end of this community for me. I won't be able to trust people here, definitely not trust admins to protect us. With all due respect for TimK, if he protects that guy and that behavior he has no place in the staff. I mean someone who is speaking in such manner to a girl (it doesn't matter whether or not he has a "hot gf" as he said on discord) as if it's legitimate, posting her image (even if she posted her image on facebook, it doesn't mean I can take that picture and post it somewhere else it's not public domain) , getting protection from staff member... If no actions are taken I'm out.

This whole thing made me very very furious inside. I hope people will come to their senses and actions will be taken (not to keep me from leaving, just because it's the right thing to do).

Colleges that implemented internal review boards to handle sexual harassment (and similar) cases have a horrendous track record when it comes to victims rights and holding people accountable.

There's a million reasons why people don't come forward, and it's in no small part due to them feeling like no one will take them seriously (I mean, can you blame them?) People should be allowed time to gather their thoughts- and this being online there are chat logs, it's not like the interaction happened in person and the memory is fleeting.

Edit: Colleges with such boards tend to have significantly stricter time tables when it comes to reporting events

There’s a reason why this has blown up and they’re not opinions from banned players. Read the thread before you start making your usual bullshit comments. I respected his final decision although I strongly disagreed with how I got perma banned. This was a mistake on the staff’s end and people wanted the proof, they got it and now they are vocalizing the bigger issue at hand.

if ur goal its about the gms attitude about the rules u might b correct (i dont know all the details about what happend so i dont give my opinion.)

Off topic, but let me address this.

It doesn't really matter to me at this point. Just like any other players, I was a naive player when I first joined and introduced my ex to the game. And naturally, circumstances arise and I gave her access to my Bishop. So that's when it all started getting logged.

I figured it would come haunt me back someday in the future, but that didn't stop me from doing what I think is best for the community. I didn't say I'm a role model, although I wish I could've been one. And I know I must have disappointed many players, and I'm sorry for that. Believe me or not, but when I decided to step down, I've already prepared a resignation letter, including my confession. But someone got to it first before I could. Who is it? Not important, important thing is I got my punishment. So there's that.

I did not expect to be given a second chance at playing the game just because I served loyally for 5 years as a Staff. I don't need the rules to be twisted for me, and I'm glad it didn't. All I ever wanted was a chance to clear the air, and apologise to the admins for my wrongdoings, and part ways. But that didn't happen because the admins insisted that I must do it through Ban Appeal, which explains why I'm so pissed that this happened.

Even though I'm no longer playing the game, I'll still be around and speak up whenever I can. And in this case, I believe Tim could do better.

Want to make it easier to understand? Easy, put yourself into their shoes. Reverse the gender in this case.
I'll give you a simple example to start with:

I'm just gonna say this. When YYUMMMY and Don were harassing my friend Jo and being invasive about her social medias, YOU Sharon were in the chat and gaslighted the fuck out of her saying "it's just a meme."
Funny how when the tables turn on you it turns into a huge shit show but when your friends harass mine it's a fucking meme.

While I understand the concern about "stacking" screenshots/reports, would there not have been a more sensible solution to combat something like this? A time-based rule (48 hours, in this case) makes little sense here - harassment does not cease to be harassment because two days have passed. A player SHOULD be punished for harassment regardless of when it happened. The enactment for the rule seems suspiciously timed especially if this has been an ongoing issue, perhaps because of the parties involved.

 

well its depends who saying that and how, if random guy or woman would say that i might get offended, but since i know raony and sharon and i know the type of humor of both of them, i dont think there was something wrong.
