It's a pitiful sight watching banned players take this as an opportunity to unleash their vengeance on the man who banned them. I don't think your status will change as a result. I also doubt you guys are here for a constructive discussion .

but 2 months ago its was ok and she didnt reported or felt bad about it, if something changed in this time i dont think its raonys mistake, this convarsation was several months ago for my knowladge and if sharon feeling ofended by the gms cuz they banned whoever who she not need to blame it on raonys behavior or make it like an example that all my point here.

i dont really know because i have been heard alote of jokes with sharon about alote of shit that can be even more offensive than this, but its really here personal thing if she got offended by it or not, what bothering me its the timing that she decided to report about that, and that make it look like she have a diffrent goal and not to teach raony a lesson about behaving.

 

If I remember correctly, this thing happened like a month ago in oblivion's discord? Why is it that you suddenly feel "oh it has been a month, I feel harassed now so let me file a report?"
Also, i dont think that harassing is right and should definitely warrant a ban.

edit: isnt this literally called weaponising the rules of the game. which you and your group of friends were so against like 2 weeks ago. sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

Disclaimer: I am not sober for this one. Don't know anybody involved, have defended friends of the alleged 'victim' here in the past. Never spoken to Raony either in-game our outside of it. I'm arguably too normal, and I was raised in the stix n stones generation (sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me) rather than the doomer generation (sticks and stones may break my bones but words will hurt me more). I also think that generally speaking, Tim does an incredible job, and June, the opposite (battling for the title of most detrimental member of our staff team with Muff).

I agree with Tim, and I don't see a problem with Raony's messages in the sense that they're not actually "sexual harassment" or "predatory" (fucking lol, do you even live???). They're creepy and weird, that of a foreigner with little grasp on how to interact with people, yes, but you people use these dumb self-victimizing terms too loosely. Including him with the retarded ass "xenophobic racist" foolishness. Neither of you are victims here, y'all aren't racist or xenophobic, and he isn't a predator who is sexually harassing you by telling you you have big tits and no ass (relative to one another, it's true). His basis for being angry or offended is nonexistent, as is yours for victimizing yourself over somebody looking at your public photos and commenting on your appearance in them.

Stop treating this case as if the genders involved matter. It's not any better or worse to do this stuff to men or to women. That shit about "would you want him around your daughter", "so wut ur sayin iz if a GURL iz harassed den...", is nonsense, it's "would you want him around others", "if anybody is harassed, then", and the answer is that he's really not a threat to anybody. They're words. Blacklist him and move on. He can no longer tell you to squat. On that topic, I would have zero issue standing next to Raony with my female loved ones, children included. In fact, I'd feel less comfortable having them around a bunch of sensitive little bitches who victimize themselves over stupid shit like words and comments. I want the women in my life to be strong and thick-skinned, not coddled and put on a pedestal like some porcelain little princesses.

That said, despite disagreeing with the players who possess mentalities like they were raised inside of a Portland Starbucks, I agree that the real problem is with the inconsistency and a glaring lack of fairness in applying this rule. It's all or nothing, and if you're going to overlook this stuff, you damn well should be overlooking so many other instances of 'harassment' or whatever the fuck you consider this (to me it's just the guy talking like a weirdo, but so are 9/10 other speech related cases). Tim, keep it real, if somebody from Royals started messaging shiny face Shiuyi on Discord with a bunch of pics from her social media profiles (regardless of whether or not they are public, my stance is don't use social media if you don't want to risk others finding what's on it, you aren't any more or less of a victim due to your privacy settings) being critical of her body (lack thereof) you'd likely immediately come to her aid and get that guy banned from the server while also vilifying him in the process.

All in all, this is definitely either a #FreeAllHarassmentBans or #BanRaony type situation. There is no way that somebody should be permanently banned for saying kent if this is tolerated, nor should players like Roxxy be banned even temporarily for her petty (non-)offenses (she's been targeted by y'alls over policing of words WAY too hard over the years - I've seen it every single time and I don't understand how anybody can sit back and act as if she's been treated fairly).

Regardless of how I personally feel about the speech itself, the real issue is the fairness in application of the rule(s) regarding it and that seems to be something almost all of us agree on.

So, did the OP actually feel harassed or is she reporting this now because other females are feeling harassed? If the latter is the case, then other females should report with whatever evidence they have against Raony. Why is it that she have to used her evidence, to speak on behalf of other players, when clearly 1 month ago she obviously didn't felt harassed? It is indeed a heroic act but clearly using the rules as a weapon from my pov.

I am able to recall this incident and am here to put forth my side of the story.


I would like to preface this by stating that I was good friends with the person who lodged the report against me. We used to share a lot with each other via chatting online and voice calls over Discord. We were comfortable with each other and always joked with each other in ways such as teaching each other to curse in our own languages, so naturally, our conversations were crude to begin with but had no bad intentions whatsoever. There was just a lot of banter going on, as you would expect from two adults who have fun with each other.


The person who lodged the report against me was saying in guild chat that she was ‘flat’ and I sympathized with her as I was in that position before as well. I am now in a state where I have been working out for 9 years and have acquired significant knowledge about fitness and dieting. I am known among my friends to give out advice about lifting or fitness as I am a certified nutritionist. I tend to help others with their fitness-related issues as I like helping others feel good about themselves.


Therefore, when I saw that she wasn’t very happy with her body, I decided to offer her some advice to try to help her out. Given the nature of our prior interactions, I reached out to her via PM so that she would not feel uncomfortable discussing this in guild chat. I offered her some advice by saying that she had a nice body but she could do some squats to make it look better. She asked me to stop and I stopped right there and then as I did not want to cross any lines with her. I may have seemed like I was coming onto her but honestly, English is not my first language and I may have been a little crude with her in conveying my advice. I just wanted her to know that she was a good-looking girl and that if she’s unhappy with herself, she can do squats to make herself look even better. The only reason why I even approached her to offer advice like that is because she was my good friend – I would never approach a stranger to offer such an advice or speak to them in this manner.


This incident also happened about a month ago and I am just skeptical about her motives for lodging this report because like I have mentioned, we were good friends but our friendship ended abruptly when her boyfriend was permanently banned for harassing me. I believe that she is only reporting it now because she wants some sort of retribution for what happened to her boyfriend, but I can only guess because I wouldn’t know for sure. It would seem that way though, wouldn’t it?


If I had known that all she wanted was validation and not a solution when she complained about being ‘flat’, I would have left it at that and not offered her any advice. I genuinely thought that she wanted advice from people to help her with her body and this was all just a simple misunderstanding.


I have been playing on this server for 6 years and have never had issues with anyone until now. Please try to see things from my side and know that this is just an attempt to get revenge on me for reporting her boyfriend for harassment. If she genuinely felt harassed by this, she wouldn’t have waited until now to lodge the report.

 

no problem! I applaud her act for standing up for other players being harassed but this isn't the right way to do things.

 

if she felt offended a month ago, why wait till now? if u get harassed irl, do u wait a month to make a police report? was she blackmailed to keep silent? if yes then it is understandable, but if not, then why was she silent?
