Hello I don't know if it got offered in the past but I would like to offer to add a buff icon to the screen like normal buffs to all summons including mystic door. If we cast summon in mistake we have to wait untill it dissapears on its own, it would be nice to be able to cancel it incase we summon in mistake. it would be nice also to know how many time left to our summon/mysic door.
This would be a great integration for all summons as there are instances where attacking summons can be hit in boss runs where they are not wanted. I.e. zak or horntail. Now assuming you could right click the buff to get rid of the summon instead of having to wait the timer out then it would be a great addition to not only being able to know how much longer your summon lasts.
Some players may remember that this summons did function like this many years ago, and that the overhaul of the game's source code to proper emulate the original game caused the summons to no longer work like this. However, I can understand how it would once again be helpful to be able to see timers on summons (and mystic door), as well as be able to cancel/remove the summons. I will bring this to our developers attention to discuss how feasible it is to bring the functionality back.
Well it's not good news... Unfortunately this is not possible. The explanation for this from our developer is as follows: And the reason why damage calculations are important is because we require them to be 100% accurate so to be able to mitigate damage hacking, whilst still allowing players to deal their correct damage at all times.
What about a beginner skill called like recall or something, it's an invisible summon that does nothing, has no attacks or way to attack, lasts for one second, but it would override the summon therefore cancelling it? Like how eagle will override frostprey, vice versa
Since @yeepog seemed to enjoy the challenge of making those 'Not Possible' feedback threads possible, do you think this one is doable?
Doable, yes. But dang was this one hard! It took me about 2 hours to get this "prototype" working, and it's still buggy (the skill doesn't disappear from buffs right now) If you look at the top right, when I use GM Dragon Roar, it displays the skill as if it was a buff. I would have used a summon skill to demonstrate in the video, but the source I'm using to test all these things is one of those sources that Matt mentioned which has it enabled but it's a 'fake' buff, and removing that would take more work, so I just opted to use a normal attack skill as an example. So this feature is definitely possible!
hold on man, I have already started a few days ago, online file editing classes, including in those the wizet files that they use, in addition to mpg, ggp, cgi, vlf, rcdp, efects specials , spacial plane and many more, I hope by the end of the year to be ready and so help ! also a colleague sends me the videos of how the GMS programmers and designers work in order to learn more quickly
Amazing! hopefully we will get to see it one day in the game, as this is something I liked very much on other servers. Thanks for taking the time to explore this
