Horntail Crash Methods

    Hi all i would like to hear from how you guys crash with your max spd n jump cr mule.

    Do you crash from ground level or still jump off 2nd platform ?

    I have seen some crash once they reach the tip of the rope for head A.

    I have also seen one horntail speed run where they pre position their cr mule at 2nd platform and use stance. Crash immediately after it cancels

    For head A - i prepare my crash on the platform towards the right side and crash without jumping as soon as it cancels, if i see head B is also on Cancel i walk to the smaller platform near the arm in the front and crash (jump+crash to be sure, even tho i think isnt a must).
    If i forgot to position and im at the bottom and im being lucky and head A bending down, ill just jump + crash.

    Head B - easiest, if you have enough jump (not sure u need max jump, but idk the exact number), just stay at the bottom and jump + crash at the peak of your jump (obviously stand around the middle.

    Head C - similar to head A (even though the platform and the rope are a bit further from the head compared to the left side, or looks like it anyways), i try to be safe and stand more on the left of it and crash, same thing if B also on cancel, go to the small platform near the arm, jump + crash.

    The reason of crashing head B as well if u see the chance is to have the attacks while head A & C bend down not go to waste and hit B instead.

    For left side (Head A & B),

    • If A and B is async (meaning to say A is on weapon cancel and B is on magic cancel, Crash A only at red spot)
    • if A and B is sync (both on weapon cancel, crash both at blue spot, you need to jump if Head A is raising)
    • It is not recommended to crash B at Black spot because there is a higher chance of failure and trigger right arm seduce, missing one crash on ht is dragging the party's dps by alot. Anyway, you need >115 jump to do so.
    For right side (Head B & C),

    • If B and C is async (meaning to say C is on weapon cancel and B is on magic cancel, Crash only C at red spot)
    • if B and C is sync (both on weapon cancel, crash both at blue spot, you need to jump if Head C is raising)
    • It is not recommended to crash B at Black spot because there is a higher chance of failure and trigger left arm seduce & defense up, missing one crash on ht is dragging the party's dps by alot. Anyway, you need >115 jump to do so.

    After both head A and C are down, you can crash B at either side of the blue spot.

    Yes, by doing so can reduce the rope climbing time, it can speed up the run and rest of your teammates' dps are not wasted. However it is only recommended when you have stance on your crash mule.

    Edit: Red spot does not need jump. Blue spot need jump if the head is looking up.
