Ive tried this method before but it didnt allow me to wear the gear? Could it be because i was holding a weapon with the stats instead of a clothing?

I dont have the screen shots since I dont have that particular equipment anymore but I just to the og post I think that answers my question. I just wanted some clarification.
I believe you are facing the issue of using the currently equipped gear to wear another same type of equipment, such as scrolled overall to wear another overall
Let’s say you wanna wear lapiz sandals which require 74 luk and the sandals got 4 Luk itself. Those 4 do not count to your 74 to wear them. You need do reach the requirement without the particular item stats itself
