It does bring more challenge to the game making it last longer as well as make it so people play bishops for fun and not just to farm stuff on. Sadly, as I stated in another thread I don't have time to play but I feel the server's been well balanced. Oh and there's already a thread for your class question.
Yeah, #1 problem was bishops farming/self leeching, even though i was one of those bishops, XD, and ya i just added it in there !. and well you might not have much time to play, your busy with your life, which is better than being busy with maplestory XD
Nah, the removal of the godly items feature and the nx/ap resets from mobs puts me off. Challenging is one thing, dull is another, and losing the chance to farm items with unfeasible stats plus the chance to reasonably remake ChibiDK.... not interested, sorry. I've no desire to make a bossing chara, not my gameplay style.
Very much agree. I've actually heard almost as many people complain about this as having all their hard work.
ChibiDK, in all of her incarnations so far, has been a max HP HB mule, albeit a grinding one. My favourite job class is Cleric/Priest/Bishop. I've always enjoyed playing a grinding/mobbing class to see if I can farm nice rare items for my characters. I'm not sure how to explain this well, but I enjoy minibosses as an optional goldmine, not as an essential source of NX etc. This doesn't interest me in the slightest - I don't mind challenges, but I'm not a competitive player who enjoys timing all the boss spawns. I like a slow, leisurely, stress-free play style, and I've always loved the option of getting special drops from mobs, be it during GMS/EMS seasonal events or the Maple Royals "godly items". I'm not saying that I'm definitely leaving, but right now, it doesn't look like the new Maple Royals holds any interest to me, which I feel sad and disappointed about, but so be it. I think it's unlikely that I'll stay. ETA: Wow, sorry, this reads as incoherent waffle! Not that great at explaining things when it's 5am and I've just woken up! Basically, I'm just fine with a long, slow, steady grind and putting in the work, just not with the lack of enjoyable goodies from mobs.
Yeah, if it doesn't benefit you in the slightest, im sure you'll find another server which you enjoy playing and has the layed back gameplay your looking for !
i'm super excited, the nostalgia will be unreal. imo people have been too pampered with the ez-ness of the past mapleroyals.

Not excited about having to start over, but very excited about things being more balanced and more likely to last in the long-term. I'm also excited about PQing and partying <3
Yeah starting over is a bummer, that brings us all down buttt like you said PQSSSSS & PARTYS, who doesnt like partys !
Sort of a pain since I just reached Pally-hood today, but it's all good I guess. The fixes and PQs are good news, so we'll see what happens, yeah?
