For any reason pet don't heal if you attack boss with reflect while inside Smokescreen. yes, he had auto hp on pet and it also happened to me on dunas. idk if it's a bug or really should happen, also consider close this thread if not a bug, but if it's a bug idk what Prefix use. F Twin quick update about pet don't heal you inside smokescreen @PkewPkew thanks for help.
To expand on this, pets seem to completely ignore any damage you take while in smokescreen. Assassinate is safe for shadowers, as it does not take damage at all while inside smokescreen, but other attacks like Boomerang Step and Assaulter will still cause you to be damaged and potentially die, since pets will not heal you. I have seen a few teammates whose pets would heal normally and then I (shamefully) cast Smokescreen on them and they die.
I don't think this has anything to do with smokescreen. When a boss casts damage reflect and you get damaged by it, your pet won't auto heal regardless so you will have to manually pot. This is simply how that mechanic works. (that's how it has worked atleast for the classes that I play; Shadower & Buccaneer. I'm not 100% sure on NL so please correct me if I'm wrong) Assassinate is an exception to this for some reason, the pet will still autoheal after getting damage reflected from assassinate (Shad > NL ) Smokescreen gives a false sense of protection in this case as you might 'think' you're safe from damage reflect. But smokescreen doesn't protect from damage reflection. However, it's not a bug!
Booo. If you have high enough hp to survive DR, your pet will autopot. The bug OP is talking about is how autopot isn't triggered when you're enshrouded by smokescreen. It's definitely a bug.
On any attack that is slow enough, your pets DO autopot between each attack. I have watched people's hp bar recover after each attack but the moment I use smokescreen in their vicinity the pet stops healing them and they die to DR. This happens both at Dunas v1 and even to the weak DR from Auf Haven's clones. As a shadower, doesn't your pet auto heal when you use assassinate at DR without smokescreen?
This is definetely not the case with Buccaneer / Shadower skills or attacks except for Assassinate. Here another example of the DR not being auto healed on a NL during Dunas V1 OUTSIDE smokescreen: Spoiler: Damage Reflect on NL My pet does autoheal while in or out a smokescreen using Assassinate with DR. (this is just a unique interaction with the skill assassinate which I can't replicate with any other skill) It's weird how you describe the issue, as when I am using my buccaneer and I use any skill on a damage reflecting Dunas V1, the pet does not autoheal, ever. Neither does it autoheal when I use boomerang step / normal attack on my Shadower. Regardless of whether I am inside a smokescreen or outside, the behaviour stays the same.
@PkewPkew I'm curious to know how much HP your NL partner had. If the tester does not have high enough HP to survive two-three? turns of DR then this can't be tested. The NL in the video you posted does not have high enough HP to triple throw against Dunas V1 - V1 reflect damage is between 8k-14k? IIRC. My friend JP has ~23k HP (with HB 30k HP) and he is able to hold triple throw down without a care in the world. I have 26769HP|21359MP on my BM and I can hold strafe with bow booster and SI without dying against V1 DR. It's not about the skill, it's about your total HP pool (and attack speed?). PROOF: https://gyazo.com/a40a7c5569178afb74f05fde13ad8ece This isn't to say there isn't a bug in itself with autopot and damage reflect, however the bug specifically referred to here by @CreamGoddess is referring to the fact that normally autopot-healable abilities (yes, triple throw included) do not trigger autopot when enshrouded by smoke. EDIT: Regardless of HP pool, holding down hurricane will get me killed.
So what I learned today (thank you, Hairi) is that Assassinate doesn't cause you to take any damage at all during DR. As a matter of fact, you can unequip your pet or remove your HP pots while using assassinate because your pet will spam them for no reason! It shows damage above your head and your pet will use a potion, but you do not actually take any damage from DR, only with Assassinate. Other skills are affected normally including bstep and assaulter and this is the reason why smokescreen will kill any non-Assassinate users who continues to attack from inside smoke, because their pets will not heal them.
