During the past few months I have been noticing an upward price trend in Miracle Auf Haven 10% scrolls and to no surprise this was mainly due to the rampant amount of real world trading happening. I personally reported 7 of them but they keep ban evading and ruining the prices by buying out the whole market for whatever price. Scroll prices went up from approximately 250m to 400m and are continually rising. @Nessi @Jooon can confirm because they have also been actively monitoring the scroll prices with me. My proposed suggestion is to temporarily impose a level requirement to buy/trade/sell the scrolls to level 146, the level one can finish the all quests up to Auf Haven until auto ban is in place if possible.
Could we also make the Miracle Auf Haven Scrolls not droppable, like Chaos Scrolls? Since many RWTers prefer drop trading, they would be afraid to trade their main characters the scrolls they obtained illegitimately.
The amount of players banned from his reports simply from buying auf scrolls at a preimum should be quite a evidence.
I just don't get, understand, or see the evidence of this being caused by RWT and not by high demand. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I'm saying I don't understand the post. Could you elaborate on your investigation? The problem is that doing what you suggest would prevent good Maple Businesspeople from doing business playing with low supply and high demand. The difference between this and changing map level requirement is that for maps there's absolutely nothing low level players should do there other than explore or hack. With buying something in demand you can get mesos. And if you ask "What would a low lvl do with many Auf Haven scrolls?" it's just like asking "Why would Bill Gates need so many computers he just needs 1"
Thats a great point you brought up but unfortunately since this has been happening continuously for months now, I believe that the possibility just does not exist anymore or is rather super unlikely. This is very off putting to anyone trying or aspiring to scroll a helmet as scrolls had an increase of 37.5% compared to before. Right now it feels like you are fighting against real world traders/hackers for the scrolls in the market. Sure legit players doing Auf Haven daily will earn more but ultimately this is just illegitimately earned meso's generated through the rampant hacking/rwting. As a former staff member, I can't really comment on how the real world trade investigations works behind the scenes since there is some sensitive information not known to the public. What I can tell you is that many of my reports of these "suspicious" individuals, I got similar replies to this:
This seems more like a broad issue of RWTers participating in market manipulation for whatever reason, what would prevent them from doing the same with ws/cs prices or any commonly traded item for that matter? in that case a broader solution might be better
cs and ws are generated by players are a much higher rate per day than players (this includes vote abusers adding to that number)but because everyone can gach or do zak to add to the amount of cs/ws daily, this dilutes the amount of impact they have on the market. auf scrolls are mainly player generated since gearing characters/parties is not something that botters can easily farm on their own which means that there are significantly less being dropped per day as there are only X amount of parties running auf daily, if a botter buys out that stock then people like johnny are shit out of luck, not to mention hes competing in price per scroll as well and already disadvantaged because of this on that note
all things in the FM are faceing that fighting against real world traders/hackers i belive auf scroll drop rate got ninja nerfed the moment people started to run solo/duo/trios daily and the moment when many realised that auf is more profitable than HT on average with the amount of work/mules needed there is like 1 auf notice clear each hour this days and much more players that want to make that helm unlike the days when it was 5% where people were runing just for fun
Playing devils advocate here. Where is the line drawn for items of value? If Tarus and Naricain Jewels are prevented from being dropped, RWTers could use stackable items of lesser value, such as Onyx Apples, as they already are.
