Hey, to all you maplers using a 4K resolution monitor could you take a screenshot of you desktop for me showing how many clients you fit on it and how it looks? I know I could do the maths but I wanna have a picture example so I can decide if I wanna buy a new monitor also I don’t wanna use 800x600 tyy ty and happy Xmas all❤️
Hey, heres how it looks with 1024 x 768 Spoiler and heres it with 800x600 Spoiler This is taken with no windows scaling. Hope that helps!
On that specific monitor for mules I have no scaling active, on the monitor which I play with my main clients I use 150% scaling and can comfortably fit 3 across the 4k screen with slight overlap. It would look exactly the same as a 1440p monitor with no scaling Spoiler My CPU usage is hitting around 70% with 23 clients open, temps still remain fairly low and power usage is around 65w
Have you done anything to keep the usage low? Mine would be hitting 100% if I have 5 open, still very usable but I'd prefer to keep it lower.
Personally from someone who is using ultra-wide 3440x1440, if you plan to play maple on this, it’s a good choice as you are able to have 6 clients hd minimised size easily with a good allowance to read the text that’s come from the clients. Should i choose to resize it and place mules, i don’t see any issue with it as well. I feel 5k reso is just too big for a maple game but that’s my take on it.
Like there’s the maximise version (alt + enter) or minimised version. You can fit 6 HD clients inside, probably more for 720p client (never tried) I use the normal windows resize application that allows to resize any application to a random size. The resolution is automated so not much point to that
Oh okay so minimised=window mode gotcha where I’m still clueless is what you mean by HD and 720p afaik royals only offers 1024x768 and 800x600 while HD should be 1920x1080 and 720p should be 1280×720 so you fit 3 1024x768 Next to each other and another 3 under those with slight vertical overlap right ? sorry just wanna make sure before I buy a monitor Similar to what Matt posted just 1024x768 client only
@Zancks If you are just looking for monitor recommendations, I would give a thumbs up to the Monoprice Dark Matter 34" Ultra Wide Quad HD (UWQHD) monitor. 144Hz that can be overclocked, 1440p resolution, 1500R curvature, HDR10 support, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 connections. Great value monitor.
You'd have to change your display scaling but it will effect everything, not sure if you can individually assign scaling for a specific program. Spoiler
