How to make mage staffs viable

    The problem isn't just with staves but with wands too, ele wands make pretty much all the other lower lvl wands/staves useless.
    I think they should buff some of these wands/staves to have higher MATK (but without elemental boosts) to match the ele wands

    I said exactly all of these points in my op lol, so I definitely agree.

    Another problem comes from the weird level requirements from the ele wands, they exist way beyond 110, while other normal staffs (and normal wands, as well as other end game weapons), end at 110, and require lots of luk too.
    I know they are supplemental weapons for scaling, but their effect and power destroy all other normal weapons entirely, making the ele wand meta a singularity.
    It seems like it's not an issue, but they do make min/max beyond easy, and essentially by themselves usher the leech/farm/ulti meta destiny because of the advantage they give to this role and culture, so in turn cast all arches in that direction because of how op the ele wands are.

    Opening other out of the box options for a forgone weapon class gives potential for arches outside the ulti spammer destiny.

    Staffs with neutral element effect and much higher m.att, and stat requirements could do this maybe

    But all other possibilities are welcome for discussion too

    Maybe you can make the poison and lightning lvl 163 ele staves have no Luk requirement, but have a damage penalty to holy (so it can't be used by bishops)

    It will make a pretty interesting weapon for bossing archmages and also buff them a little bit to be stronger in bosses

    Good idea and the qualification about holy, but I do think stat requirements need to come back
