I've been following this guide since level 1 and now I'm level 130. Tysm :D loving the updates.

I couldn't find any information about when's the best time to max Ress, so I decided to leave that for when I maxed out all the other skills.

I'm currently on lvl 130 with maxed MW10, maxed Gen20 and 1 Ress (I noticed the guide says you're supposed to have all that on lvl 131 idk why). I also have 2 Skill Points left. According to the guide, after lvl 132 (that would be 130 - now - for me since I have 2 SP left) I'm supposed to upgrade Gen30, so I'm still thinking if I should save the 2 SPs for when I buy Gen30 or if I skip it and add to other skills. I really feel like figuring out all that by myself, but I honestly have always sucked at deciding where to spend my SP, that is exactly why I'm using a guide to play the game. I don't know what's ahead in the game for me, therefore I can't decide. That might be a mini trauma from my old MapleStory days: I had a spearman with way too much AP on dex, then found out I was hitting way less than other players and never played for serious ever again after that - until now at a private server AND with a guide.

Here's what I'm considering from the low knowledge I have of the game and my class: I don't want to add to Bahamut since I don't make money with heartstoppers; it'll take me a while to get Gen30, so I'm inclined to saving my SP for that; Holy Shield seems like a nice skill for bosses, and it seems like I'll be doing that a lot, so I'm still thinking if I should get that now or later; Infinity seems like it'll save me some money with pots/elixirs, but I've read somewhere in the comments here that it can bug pet auto-pot and it's not very good to use during bossing, so I don't feel like I should get that at all lol

Here's something weird: I cannot find Angel Ray anywhere in the guide (how to get it) and it's not in my skill inventory. What the heck lmfao

Thanks for the guide. As a new player, I'm wondering if there are any other viable grinding spots for lower levels? I see the guide says to do CPQ - but I'm noticing not a lot of people are there. Currently level 46 and using heal on Wraiths feels slow and boring :)

    do check this thread out!
But definitely CPQ is the best for party play if u can get a party going. Ludi PQ is a good alternative too!

I'm at 77 right now and finding MP3 very slow training. Am I just at one of those awkward levels between good training spots or should I be somewhere else?~f3

Bahamut. This skill is mad useful if u wanna particpate in HT when clearing wyvern spawns.
Alot more usage all around compared to holy shield.
Max holy shield if u wanna boss, infinity if you perfer farming! after bahamut that is!

Last year some of the DPS charts included an entry for "Arch Mage - 5 Targets" which confidently took first place. It was funny to mule a bishop with a 3x genesis macro in ht/zakum (or anywhere else!) for some nice added damage while still using a regular attacker. Ultimately the macro got disabled so it's annoying to do now.

Using genesis at HT used to not be ideal because it would accelerate reaching the arm thresholds and ultimately be wasted damage since the NLs would have to wait for weapon cancel to wear out. Now that crash is meta, the arm thresholds are reached late so having the bishop use genesis would be a nice damage boost, as long as they can keep up with dispelling defense up as well. The sad thing is now that HT barely pays out (so HTs are 4-5 man) and everyone has a safe sed mule (that doesn't need healing), most bishops are taken as mules and it's not practical to be handling them for genesis.

tl;dr: bs pls no gene, im gonna crash thx

    Hello!
I know this this is an old guide but I have a question about the HP washing process (and I tend to waste my time on researching this stuff).

You describe the new washing method which involves resetting the Increase Max MP skill.
My question is when you level up and MP wash, why add to MP without moving it into INT straight away?
It seems to me like a loss of MP which could have been gained from the BASE INT increase.
You gain 10 MP for 'free' per ap with this method but you wont get the extra MP from the BASE INT increase which is compounded with each 10 BASE INT.
Shouldn't there be a balance between the two methods?

Hope I was clear enough 0:)

U get 1 mp from 10 int. But if u reset out 10 ap to get that 10 int, ure looking at a -100 extra mp cos is -30mp n not -20 mp if u didnt reset ur mp increase. While u cld obviously reset it, keep in mind u nid 20 sp resets per lvl to do tat since u nid to reset it back to 10 after u done resetting to int. So its more cost effective to just put it in n leave it

Magician level up MP gain including with INT equips on, increases your MP gained at 10 extra INT = 1 additional MP on level-up
So honestly, when you have already have a good amount of total INT, the additional MP gain is very minimal.

Adding AP straight into MP and leaving it there allows the player to maximize the SP Reset Method.
Players can consider leaving the freshly added MP in there to conserve % potions while leeching/farming simply because you wouldn't need more TMA higher than the objective you are trying to 1hit
    Example Skele = 1300 TMA

I'll update the guide soon. youtube removed all the videos :/

First I want to say I'm referring to the MP wash ONLY, when you do MP->HP reset you only benefit from resetting MAX MP Increase.

As I see it there are 2 methods for gaining MP here -

1: Adding fresh APs to MP for a bunch of levels without resetting to INT then Resetting the MP Skill and moving all that MP into INT.
2: Adding fresh APs to MP then resetting MP to INT each level.

My point is Method 1 MP gains are consistent while Method 2 MP gains are incremental.
So while, yes. you do get 10 extra MP per AP, I suspected there is a point at which Method 1 isn't the better option.

I created an excel using the Level 150 bishop example to simulate a bishop using both methods of MP wash.
Long story short, my suspicious are wrong. The incremental gains never match the consistent 10 MP per AP.

Edit: I should add, My conclusion is true for the common <30 lvl MP wash.
If you start washing early (~120) and do any more than 32 Levels of MP washing you'd get more MP with Method 2.

Thank you for this wonderful guide. The only thing I notice is that there is quite a bit of deviation in the gear stat listed in prime zone. If we take an average value on each gear given in the gear table: 185tma wand+33int hat+5int krex ring+32tma earring+30int overall+18tma cape+8int shoe+9int maple leaf+29tma shield+25int HTP+25tma glove+10int mask=384tma from gears. The base int for a lukless bishop at lv150 is 765ish. The tma at lv150 with gears will be 1149tma. Maple warrior 10 will make it to around 1185. Given that we are using gizer, we hit 1215 tma at lv150, and we are still missing about 80tma from 1hitting skele. That means we won't be able to 1 hit skele until lv 166!!
