Time once again for the Anniversary event and the Agility challenge In case you don't know, this is the challenge I mean: Spoiler: What I mean Feel free to post your best times here . I will eventually make a list of the best runners just like last year. The only rules I have if you want to get on the top list are: - You are allowed to update your time as many times as you like, but only one of them (your best time) will count towards the top list, in other words, your name will only be on the top list at one spot at most. - Your time is the time Gaga gives you at the end. The screenshot must not be cropped. Last year's list: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/anniversary-jq-times-2020.165829/ Have fun anniversary runners Leaderboard: Spoiler: owo
Spoiler: Attempt 1 My first attempt. Think I can definitely get under 10 minutes. Spoiler: Attempt 2 Next goal is under 6 minutes by reducing mistakes. Spoiler: Attempt 3 This was done on my mule and a mistake near the end costed me the perfect run, but still very proud of my record! Will continue to challenge for a near 4 minute mark.
PurpleFrog here from last year . Will try to beat my last year record, but for now this shall suffice. Edit #1: Beat my time from last year(3:57) so I'm happy. 3:53 now Edit #2: Insignificant difference but now 3:52 lol Spoiler: First time post Spoiler: Second time post
If you put your GFX lower than the max that is what happens. I do it because it reduces some of the stutters I get while in the map.
Surprisingly interesting JQ, big timesave possible with precise skips. Will update soon. (4:26) Edit 1: First run with no major mistakes. (4:02) Edit 2: Meaningless improvement (4:01). At this point I need to man up and stop avoiding the harder skips. Edit 3: Another small improvement (3:59). Best possible time for this route with no mistakes is like 3:50. Is there an obscure skip? Edit 4: Completed my intended route with no mistakes (3:52). I can save 1-2 seconds by using a mouse to click Gaga, but for more than that, I'll need to figure out a faster cycle somewhere. Edit 5: I found ~4 more seconds of timesave. Best possible time is something like 3:45? Edit 6: I had a WR pace run and completely messed up the egg section + final rope to turn it into a 3:54. A worse pace run did complete for a new pb (3:50). Edit 7: Again I messed up the egg section, but not the final rope, in a WR pace run (3:48).
This is very similar to my 3:48, except for a slower mushroom section and a faster egg section. Interestingly, we do the Leafre section very differently but end up at the same cycle. Thanks again for sharing!
I took a long break after getting tilted but I'll get back to this soon. Here's a little teaser in the meantime. I believe the perfect time is 3:43... Spoiler The mistake is not the shuriken itself, it's missing the boost on the big egg, so it becomes impossible to get to the shuriken in time.
Today I got a new pb (3:47) from a botched 3:44 attempt. More importantly, I found a novelty in a faster way to do section 1. It is so inconsistent I have not tried to make it into a full route yet. Edit: Got a 3:44 from the new route, with a few mistakes. 3:43
Leaderboard added :3 You have a few more days to post your times or improve your already posted times. Event is soon over
Polished the route more for a 3:41. It's a good chance to thank Rielle and Alim, without their ideas and competition this route wouldn't exist. (Incidentally it's the first time I take the screenshot before stopping the recording. Looks ugly but I hope that's fine. The xbox game bar in Windows 10, accessible with START+G, is useful for MapleRoyals. Consider making short recordings of drops in bosses for safekeeping and so on.) Spoiler
New time til next year Spoiler: Video I actually had a faster paced run, but messed up clicking the npc at the end of it and lost a few seconds . Ended up finishing this run 3:41, but I think it still makes for a better vid/run.
