**For Windows** Step 1 Make a MapleRoyals folder somewhere on your computer. Step 2 Download the client into this folder. http://royals.ms/MapleRoyals.exe Step 3 Download all the wz files into this folder. http://royals.ms/downloads/wz/ Step 4 Download the needed dll files into this folder. http://download1042.mediafire.com/7fd27sukfthg/v1f91d1fd20r55s/MapleRoyalsNeededFiles.zip** Step 5 Right Click MapleRoyals.exe in this folder, and click "Pin to start menu" or "Send to.. -> Desktop (Create Shortcut)" Now you have manually installed MapleRoyals and can launch the game from either the desktop shortcut or start menu shortcut you created! When game updates are released, download the updated wz files from http://royals.ms/downloads/wz/ (Note you can find which ones are updated based on the Description Column) into that MapleRoyals folder you created when you manually installed the game, replacing the out dated files. ** Note this is a third party download link, not hosted by Maple Royals. Download this file at your own risk, but yes I was the one that uploaded it, and it contains the dynamic link libraries and system files that are included in the MapleRoyals setup file but not seperately. Files Included: Spoiler Tips: If you ever forget where you created the MapleRoyals folder after already creating a shortcut to launch the game, right click the shortcut, and click "Properties". The information pop-up will either reveal and target or location. This will tell you where the folder is.
Is there a reason you would want to do a manual clean install instead of using the Installer, especially if you're a first time player?
I did this for all those people having issues with the installer. I did have to use the installer myself and it was not too fun. Had to free up temporary space on my system drive which I did not have. The installer's use of multiple backup files seems to complicate the process on some computers, and does increase the time needed to install.
Great guide oldie. <3 My first VM didn't have enough hdd space allocated to install the game the old fashioned way. This would have been useful.
HI, I am new to this community and I am trying to install maple royals. When I try doing the exe i get the program can't start because wzmss.dll is missing from your computer. Help please
It is most likely cause you have moved the client (the mapleroyals.exe) out from the mapleroyals folder, if you put it back in it should work.
Delete the client you have in the folder and download it again and drag it into the folder. http://royals.ms/?page=download The client is only on a few mb so it goes fast.
does it give you the error saying wzmss.dll is missing from your computer? are you running it as an admin?
Here ya go...i dunno why they're all winrar files btw... it happened a long time ago when i 1st dl'ed it a while back >< It's never been a problem though lul
I have also tried to download it normally, but when it finishes downloading and i try to install it, a lil popup says something like "do you wish to update MapleRoyals?" o.o i clicked yes and it says i already have an updated version.... :|
There are 2 things I would try, first try extract the files inside the folder. Second if that doesn't work go into the control and uninstall mapleroyals then download the setup again.
The 1st option worked! idk why i didnt do that before -headdesk- i knew it was something simple...ugh >< Thanks! lol -feels dumb now-
