As someone with some funds for good gear I noticed that leveling a slinger is really frustrating. Class has no damage pre 4th job and lack the tools to even grind to that level! When I created it everyone told me it will be very painful and now I know why they say it. I would like to proposed a buff to Gunslinger invisible shots, such as buffing the damage or increase mob hits from 3 to 4. I would also love to hear some feedback on 3rd job also, cause I haven't reached there yet but I've heard it has the same issue with 3rd job. And honestly 3rd job training overall needs much more improvement than 2nd but that's for another thread. EDIT: For all those who never actually played in those levels ill give you some numbers. im level 55 with very strong gear: double shot 800-1.5k~ dmg (I can do that dmg with any other job at level 30) invis shot 800-1.2k (hits 3 mobs only can cannot attack from close range and range is very limited)
I don't know if you'll get anything from others regarding pre-4th balance for them. Because Corsairs are strong in 4th job, some say they're balanced by having a weaker 2nd/3rd job but people who preach that would typically leech their characters to 4th job. They're far weaker than an Assassin/Hermit that you'd rather be playing that instead. I agree that they could use some love to make them more enjoyable to play pre-4th. It might garner some interest to the class.
I had a lot of fun leveling my slinger/outlaw/sair and I was unfunded with below average gear, I really don't think slinger, which is much more mobile than most 2nd job classes, and ranged, needs improved damage on their mobbing skill, or increased mob counts they can hit, they are a good balance of quick, mobile, ranged, and at their level, fairly strong, and can also stun. They have a ton of advantages, if you're funded you should have no problems. Third job for me was a lot of ppq, then HH, and bigfoot parties, and early pap parties. Triple shot is strong, and they can freeze. There are much worse classes to grind to 120, sair tree is very blessed for those that get good. I have a complete list of skill edits and improvements for all classes that I think are reasonable changes, and my slinger/outlaw/sair suggestions would be: slinger: can use wings once in the air (so it doesn't have to always be from the ground). This gives it more combat use, control and adaptability outside of it's only use, the faux flashjump combo invisible shot consumes three bullets instead of one (one per mob, to be balanced) grenade consumes six bullets instead of one (one per mob it can hit), has it's charge mechanic bugs fixed (like other charge skill QOL improvements that have been suggested: no cancel, slightly quicker, etc), and actually make grenade a little bit stronger, or so it's contendable with invisible shot and could be a build alternative Outlaw lower the damage homing beacon/bullseye does on it's impact (not it's effect), this damage is super op and hugely unnecessary, and doesn't make much sense that the egg throw does such insane damage (40k+). Sairs got a huge QoL improvement with the much faster mount/dismount speed Sair Hypnotize requiring max blank shot. Hypnotize ignores bullseye'd mobs (big QoL), and hypno possibly doing low/1/no damage Again if you're funded, you really shouldn't have any issues leveling them, they're very fun to play, get around fast, and are ranged, can freeze/stun. you have lots of options
Yeah you nailted it right. They all are just used to insta leech their characters to 4th job. Thats why no one really talks about pre 4th job balance changes, cause most people who care about the game are already super funded and leech. (LEECH IS NOT GAMEPLAY)
They have five (six if you count gaviota, seven if you count SSK) mobbing skills in third job, three new mobbing skills in 2nd job (blank shot, invisible shot, grenade). Hermit doesn't get a mobbing skill until third, and it's their only one. They also get fire and ice elemental attacks, and have awesome mobility and range, and blossom into the top dps class in the game, where they get another beast mobbing skill, AOE, and summons. Not to mention they get homing beacon in third. They're good. Need very little, if any improvements pre-4th, certainly not damage or PR
We got it ure the typical contrarian. Funny how u ignore what I said and just talk about 4th job but hey good job wasting time.
you're asking for feedback but you attack them for giving you feedback based on their opinion you sure you wanted feedback or just want someone to sniff your farts?
Not just opinion, but experience. I got my sair to 160's three years ago, no leeching, and with less content. It was very fun, I love their skills, they kept the "grind" feeling fun, and I was most definitely not funded and hunted and scrolled my own gear. They definitely have plenty of tools to grind to 120, they have lots of solo utility lol, and never felt weak. One of the few classes that can solo/hunt BF in third job.
inb4 he calls you out as a masochist for liking the pain and the agony- but hey, at least you have some experience to back it up so thats nice also im gonna stop derailing this thread since i have no feedbacks to give so
