The three most heavily anticipated pieces of content are: CWKPQ - Pink Bean - Lion Heart Castle (#LHC) I would like to leave this up to the community, upon which content should be most prioritized. Disclaimer: This does not mean that the content will be added to the game, however it would give our developers a *hint* at what our community would want to see in the future. Candidates: 1. D.) All of the above. I have always wondered how LHC would be on a Pre-BB, Pre-Potential System Server, and wouldn't mind giving it a try. I trained at LHC on a Bowmaster in GMS to 200, and can say it was fun. CWKPQ is an obvious yes.. Fun PQ, Great Rewards, and in some cases MoN > HTP. (IF they were to add MoN's.) PB? Whelp.. HT is becoming pretty easy for this server, time for a new challenge? But if I had to pick just one, I'd probably go with CKWPQ if MoNs were added. If not, I'd have to say PB since we already have ToT.
E) none of the above. I don't understand why people who chose to play a v62 server are so excited to add non-v62 content to that server.
I'll respect your opinion. My opinion is that it would be nice to see new content to keep the game fresh. I'm all for nostalgia remaining at it's core, however, new maps, bosses and PQs are exciting to see and I look forward to them.
Personally I play it because it was potential that ruined maple for me, doesn't mean all newer content is bad. I avoid most v83 servers out there because I think they're poor servers.
because some people didn't specifically choose royals to play a v62 server. they chose to play a nostalgic server, but this was the best looking nostalgic server available. did you specifically choose to play, say, a server whose owner likes pizza?
Uber-nostalgia is an extremely niche market. Royals was the only option back when I and many others were looking for a pre-bb server. Now it's losing players to new servers that offer more content. Nothing wrong with expecting Royals to keep up. As far as I'm concerned, anything up until the potential system is a welcomed addition.
We have to always try to keep things 'fresh' by adding new content and features. I don't think many people would want to play a game for very long if nothing ever changed. But obviously we won't ever be introducing game breaking things like Miracle Scrolls, Item Potentials, Vega Spell, etc.
while I'm all for new content, I feel it's abit greedy to be requesting for more so soon after the release of Magatia. I kind of feel releases of such significant additions to the game should be paced and not rushed, eventually we'll reach a point where we run out of viable additions or we get spoilt even with additions.
To speak for myself, I'm not demanding that they release this content immediately. The content above is just a suggestion for the developers to keep an eye on if they decide to tackle on a new project. My purpose for this thread is to support them the best way I can while also supporting the community here.
I find it kinda amusing that people think MoN is overpowered when we have the freakin' godly system as well as attack hats/scarves. If everyone had a MoN, it would shorten a HT run by like 15 seconds.
Great post Christopher! I appreciate the time you took to provide us with additional information. It's great that a lot of people are on board with having these updates. And about the whole MoN situation, it'd probably be best if we keep them since they would be useful for content like Pink Bean / HT.
MoN is far better than egged htp for every class other than mages, and is far easier to obtain, which is illogical.
I suggested a pretty interesting idea for the MoN a while ago to make it more difficult to obtain, and more on par / a decent alternative or in between dep star and egged HTP. Untradeable and 0 slots. (MoNs were made untradeable some time after they were initially released and I believe it would make it a better option here) MoN changed to (5 or 6) of all stats, 5 attk/8 magic attk (as magic attack is worth 'less' in v62 than wep attack. Still up for debate) To keep it from being affected by the godly system, and to change it up a bit and make it more difficult to obtain: Bosses drop an untradeable etc item that could be traded in to an NPC at the end of the PQ for the pendant- and it would require x amount of items for the pendant. (an example) Say each boss dropped 1 (item), but you needed 10 to get one pendant. The most you could get from one run would be 4 of them, which would make it worth doing the PQ- and not everyone would be able to get the necklace so easily. Was there a cap on how often you could CWKPQ in a day? Was it twice/24 hours or was it unlimited like other PQs? That would need to be taken into consideration. Maybe if no limit on the actual PQ itself, there could be a limit on how many runs need to have been completed before you can turn in the pieces.. or something to that effect.
I'm going to write my opinion about all 3 of the options. -Crimsonwood PQ This would be a fun addition to Mapleroyals, the only flaw is that if you make the MoN have 0 slots, after a while everyone will have one, and there will not be enough people to do the PQ with. Possible solution to this would be, -Make the PQ exp quite good, so that there are multiple reasons to do the PQ -Lower the MoN base stats, and give them a few slots to work with -Lionheart castle A popular training place after the big bang happened, this could be a really cool area that improves party play, because right now, once you hit 120 you will be training at the same place until level 200 (Aside from bossruns). However, It should't replace the nostalgic training places of course, therefore, my idea would be to make the castle a 160-170+ training place, to provide a great new training place for high leveled people. If you would make the castle 120+ like it was after big bang, it would replace the current training spots for alot of classes, and that's the last thing that we want to happen. -Pink Bean I'm pretty sure the developers of Mapleroyals have already had thought about Pink Bean. A new challenge after HT will be neccesary to keep the game from getting dull. I've personally experienced simular things in EMS with new bosses, the challenge of making strategies and forming optimal parties to defeat a boss is amazing. However, they might have to lower the base stats of PB and the pre-statues in order to make it a do-able challenge.
There will be always people who want a MoN as new players join the server everyday, same as with zhelms, people used to sell MoNs, where the buyers had to assist a run in order to get one, also the bonus stage of the PQ gives good scrolls and some interesting items, and the white pink seal cushion, so yea with these stuff people will want to do the PQ and will never get bored of it, or atleast that is what I think.
Personally, I would love to see CWKPQ added. It was by far the BEST PQ ever made. However, with everybody saying that the MoN would need tweeking, let me remind you. in V.62 1 of your main stat = 1 att. (or mag att, for you mages) MoN at the BEST gave 12 att, and 7 stats. with an average of 10 att, and 5 all stats. while a HTP gives +21 all stats at average, so an Egged HTP is still better by ATLEAST 3, and on average 6. So a MoN would not need changing at all, because it would still be a gateway to HTP while you're leveling up. So I vote for CWKPQ, but maybe tweek the bosses a bit so that godly tier people aren't a requirement?
