Haven't really tested, so I'm just theory crafting and showing the difference with a maxed blind mm in the party. I assume blind works on bosses? Spoiler: formulas used miss rate for mob magic attacks = 10/9 - mob_acc/ (0.9* player_avoid) miss rate for physical attacks = player_avoid / (4.5 * mob_acc) toad acc = 330 vergamot acc = 270 auf acc = 270 zakum acc = 250 krexel acc = 250 tl;dr blind provides 12%(thieves)~30%(archers, sairs) increase in miss chance for the party, translating into 1.2x(thieves)~4x (archers, sairs) more misses than usual for magic attacks At toad, it's about 10%(archers, sairs)~20%(thieves) in miss chance, translating to about 1.43x more misses (all jobs) Blue line represents without blind and orange line represents with blind reducing 30% accuracy Against toad (330 mob accuracy): Toad is a special case because its ranged attacks are actually physical Against auf, vergamot (270 mob accuracy): Against zakum, krexel (250 mob accuracy):
I'm amazed at how fast you made this post! From Karven's update 73.3 notes: "Changed Marksman’s Blind to work on bosses at a reduced rate of 10%". It looks like you'll have to re-crunch the numbers.
I think Karven was referring to the application of blind being at 10%. i.e., need to hit 10 times or 10 arrows on average to apply blind
I don't expect it to be useful for warriors for avoiding magic attacks. With the way magic attack works, you would need about at least 200 avoid to get above 0% miss chance. My hero has ~80 avoid for reference. But there should be the 1.43x more miss chance for touch damage though.
