Too add, based on your recorded numbers, this tentatively demonstrates that horntail do not only have elemental weakness, it has resistance too (wings and Head B confirmed to be weak against ice, by logic of most non-boss monsters this usually confers resistance against fire). I'll confirm this when I get your character parameters. But if this is true, the nett gain from Inferno elemental advantage would be 0% on average Edit: [Suspicion shot down, refer to post below (#24)]
Of course! In the video, my character's parameters should be: Total STR: 106 Total DEX: 1152 Total Weapon Attack: 141 (including echo) Everything is maxed, including Inferno, and the bow used was Crimson Arclancer. Thanks for doing all the math, not only here but also on the Bowmaster guide thread!
Thanks for your prompt reply. I've done updating my calc tools to include elemental attribute factors for Inferno. I'll make the simulation this weekend and post my version of results then.
I'll post this info earlier to shoot down my previous misguided suspicion. Based on the parameters given by @nicky, I've made a preliminary quick calculations (juicy details still have to wait, need a lot of internal QC). The tested 4 parts of Horntail do not have fire elemental resistance. The numbers so far in line with the condition of: Wings + Head.B --- Fire neutral Right.arm + Head.C --- Fire weak More to come this weekend...

I'm back with more data simulations. I've double-triple checked the calculations but I'm still human. If you found any major errors let me know. Be warned, lots of numbers and tables ahead!! Horntail Stats Let's fix the stats used for the horntail parts that we're going to look at. Values are based off from "bbb.hidden-street.net" site. The assumption here is that MSRoyals devs did not tweak the W.Def stats of horntails so I'll keep to those BBB values. This would bring all recorded values fits within simulated values.> So this support the statement that Head-B and Wings are fire neutral while Head-C and right hand are fire weak. An update to compare DPM table between SI availability. Speed reference used here would be type 2 (100 hits/min) and type 4 (83.3 hits/min). *Keep in mind those using Arclancer bow should have type 3 speed (90.9 hits/min) without SI. With SI: Without SI: SI buff is one of the key here to make AoE skill worth considering.
