Great guide, covers most of what buccs need to know about positioning in HT. Some thoughts just to insert some additional things to consider. 1. Rotations take time. The time taken to move from 1 position to the next is usually the duration of 1 combo, especially when bubble is down. If you are to change positions every min or so when bubble is up/down, you lose quite a lot of damage. I never bothered calculating but i'd venture its ~10%. This means that in situations where the margins are very close, it might be better to do what is theoretically less damage 2. Prioritisation. In some situations, its better to just focus one part down, for eg HT wings reduce the DPS of your ranged attackers so you might want to use barr+DS instead of snatch+DS to kill it faster even though its less total damage for yourself. On the flipside, you may be in a pt with a warr, and if you solely use barr+DS at head C, the wings will die too fast and your warr's DPS will decrease, so you might want to stick to using primarily snatch+DS and only using barr to charge your bubble 3. HT's movements can bring serious grief to buccs whose abilities have insanely long cast durations, for eg you use demo but head C ducks and you lose all that DPS, or you could be hitting 3 heads with barr+DS at head A but head A ducks and you cant cast barr. In short, you have to be flexible and not just hold down 1 key in a particular situation! 4. Weapon cancels. It affects the number of targets and thus what is the most efficient combo at any 1 point. 5. iFrames. Buccs are known for having lots of them, so we gotta maximise its usefulness, though its kinda luck based how much we can take advantage of it. Sometimes your barr+demo works perfectly to dodge any damage, some days every hit lands in the vulnerable gap between demo and barr. Because of the immediacy between combos, i find barr+DS is actually more reliable for taking advantage of iframes to dodge damage when bubble is down Some small other points, 1. You can actually hit head B 100% of the time if you stand close enough to the edge. Unfortunately it can take quite long to position yourself right at the edge so it might not be worth it 2. At the start of HT, because of the stun caused by the legs, I personally feel its better to focus it, especially because with your barr+demo iframes there's a good chance you dodge every stun. Alternatively barr+ds is my preferred combo from next to arms in order to get iframes to dodge the stun 3. For those that don't yet have snatch maxed out, at head A i suggest using barr+ds to hit all 3 heads with ds except when head C ducks. You can slip in a demo on head B if head A is ducking to keep up the damage. 4. For parties that have an invincible sed mule and don't mind the cons of splitting the party, a great way to max the bucc damage is for you to solo the right side while your pt takes down head A. It maximises your time spent hitting 4 targets Sorry I haven't played in quite awhile and my experience is pre-crash nerf, so feel free to disregard whatever is no longer applicable
Why avoid dash? i found that flash fist had too short of a range for the damage output it gives and majority of situations at that point it is better to use Sommersault Kick Dash will help you move around easier throughout towns and maps you are farming even in late game. Dash only activates when you double tap one direction and its easy to avoid doing so (i actually have to force myself to double tap in order to activate it) Also you will still hit lvl11 flash fist even when maxing dash if you put no points into double shot which will still have higher single target dps compared to sommersault kick and its only about 54% less damage modified compared to a maxed out flash fist which wont make a difference at that level. Edit: Also forgot to mention if you hold down the directional key for dash while going up ladders you still gain the speed boost while climbing the ladder.
Transform makes that skill useless as you get the speed/jump boost from it. If it still helps you in the very early levels that's fair enough, you could go for it.
True but it still helps when walking around town if you dont go for your mount asap giving us a little more leeway when it comes to travelling compared to something like a warrior and your guide does avoid using transformation in most situations until shockwave is maxed unless you are using the magic rocks strictly for a speed/jump boost
First of all very nice guide bro!! congrats and heres my question: how many int its necesary for get a decent hp? i read the guide but 190 base int sounds crazy. how much base i should put i have whit equipment like +90int
This question is a bit too general for me. You can always aim for less HP and set your own goals, while using the HP calculator (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/hp-washing-calculator.111127/). I would definitely recommend getting 19k by 200 no matter what if you plan on running every boss.
I didn't see this in any bucc guides, but you can also animation cancel barrage with super transform, and use demolition at the same time
It also works with other skills if im not mistaken, for example if you just used demolition and your transformation expired, you can transform+demo quickly. Didn't think about mentioning it but I might include it next time I update the thread and credit you. Thanks!
Guide updated! - Thank you @Rielle for doing the math behind the 30k HP guide and @Nivi for helping her! - Thanks @onetwotree for mentioning the Transformation trick. - Thanks to everyone who mentioned the correct method to kill Dunas V1. Spoiler: Just a few things I want to say I wanted to thank you all for the feedback you have been giving me, you help me a lot with improving this guide. I get a lot of messages in-game from people thanking me for this guide and asking further questions / making suggestions, and I really appreciate it. The most frequent question I get is how to wash to 30k potential HP, and I apologize for taking my time with updating this section, but now it's here! Buccaneers are still on the rise, and you can be sure this will be updated again once major gameplay updates come (and when Von Leon is released of course). See you in game
Awesome guide! Just wondering that does Bucc's barrage need actual damage to pin auf haven? Can I use a lv14x bloodwashed bucc with maple knuckle to pin auf?
Thank you! It doesnt need to do any damage and will pin even if you miss everything, some people have such mule aswell (@Geyforlife ).
Hi fellow bucc, does Transformation not suppose to work on ship to/from Orbis? I just noticed this when trying to kill the Balrogs.
Fun detail I noticed with Buccs: Since you are 'punching things', you actually don't need a weapon to attack. You can beat stuff up with your bare fists - can be completely naked and pin Auf!
