APR is guaranteed money based on the current market rate, while gachapon is random, so of course with gambling you'll need some luck, or you may end up losing out a bit. If you're new, I would go for selling APR over gaching.

Gacha is technically more efficient at converting nx into meso, but it is also a big hassle because you will need to know the prices of all the items you get. APR is alot easier, but if you are willing to spend a bit more effort, go for gacha.
If you can correctly Stockpile all the dark scrolls you get on mushroom shire and sell them over a NPC shop and the Chaos you get (and eventually a good ele wand or pgc), Gacha gets you more money. But APR > Sell is brainless and does not require the effort of finding a good fm spot, setting a shop, knowing the market prices and waiting to sell all the lowkey junk you get between your chaos scrolls. APR = Straighfoward way to get money Gacha = More money mo' problems. A quick math to compare is to say you can get one chaos for each 2 stacks of 30k gachas (I get around that I think) So 60k = 500m, roughly 8m per 1k of cash. APR today is sold for what? 3.5k = 12m, roughly 3m per k of cash. And I'm not counting all the non-Chaos drops that can be sold for a substantial amount of money (some scrolls go for 2-50m each) But of course its luck, you can burn 300k cash without a single chaos. But its unlikely to happen.
