Why should people be afraid of buying things off of owl or in FM stores? Just because we're waiting until the end of time for an effective auto ban system? Fuck that If the items are available for everyone to buy, it's fair game, it's the server owners responsibility to curtail these things. If people are seeking out hackers to purchase items then that's something different.
I generally enjoy farming, I even farm Scrolls Helmet for Dex, Int 60%, black cristals and steel ore, sometimes stoopers for very long periods sometimes whole days when I have finished all my personal tasks, and with this what happens I no longer know If it is sure to have full inventories of the hard work done
It is a fm, ppl see it cheap then they buy for their use even if it from hackers. Unless it was intentionally seeking out and buying from hackers, then it should not be players' responsibilities. It is the server responsibilities. Regarding bans, seem like its inconsistent, least not saying it could be favorable.
You may already have used or may be using items from vote abusers or rwt'ers. LOL When the going price is 530 but if someone offers to sell at 490, no one would question legitimacy and buy. But who would know, whether it would be an illegimately acquired item or if seller just wanted a quick sell. On a personal level, I would not like to see fingers pointed at a specific player. If you suspect something, report ◡̈⃝ To debate on a topic, keep it at that, rather than naming players. If you put on the shoes of the other person, you would realize it's not a pleasant situation to be in.
Few things here: Nobody is questioning the legitimacy of properly farmed items and their selling. That is A-OK. Have right at it. Being an unknown buyer of items that may have been botted is completely fine. There is no issue there. The issue that comes into play here is consistency and black market items ruining the "free market." If items are bought and deemed illegitimate the transaction should be refunding and items deleted. In majority of cases these items are farmables if they have made it to the free market. I.e. Earring int 10%, Golden Teeth, etc etc. Why this is a really BAD thing for the market is it ruins a legitimate means of funds for legitimate players and while knowingly owning, reselling and profiting from botted items is a morality issue it SHOULDN'T be the resellers issue. A problem is there will never be a moment of knowing whether or not in their purchase they knowingly or unknowingly purchased the items from a botted source. This is why consistency in tracking and enforcing the removal of these items should be a thing. If they never even made it to the market even better! I don't think we give enough credit to the GM's in this last year in how they've stepped up in their efforts against illegitimate playstyles and this is just one of the short comings that pops up.
predatory pricing in royals is a thing for a while but also double edged sword is hard to know who is doing legit undercut and who is doing just ilegal farm/sell to get quick meso (often can guess by amounts being sold for less but is getting harder and harder as mule farming methods gets crazier and crazier) either way i think to be fair for all if source of the items is banned for getting items illegally then evryone else that got the items from them should get their wiped->refunded consistency is needed but ban is to harsh in this case
Totally agree:3 Lmao, "crazier and crazier..." making this up just to sound better It's fine to just say you don't like it.
I've just read pretty much all of the comments, and in my perspective, I see that any person playing Royals trying to make mesos by buying for cheap, selling for more than the purchased price or selling stuff for lower than the average price sold, just gets put into the middle of a minefield and just get suspected/reported/banned or checked by GM, it's basically roulette if you want to even dream to be rich/stock up items for later to sell for higher prices to gain profit.... end up getting asked "Where/how/when/what date did you acquire these items!?" [seen these questions from people's past ban appeals] it's just getting ridiculous because not everyone that gets banned is guilty.
