Hello everyone! Dave and I have received some feedback recently by players who believe that the amount of active threads in the Market Place section should be limited. For example, whether it should be allowed for a player to sell eight different items using eight different threads--each one with its own daily bump timer. The only problem I see with limiting threads would be that it will make price checking thru forums harder. Unless people actually tag with date and the price it was sold, which lets be honest, most of the people don't even update with the price their item is sold.
I think 2 active threads (Active threads being defined as bumped within the last few days) is plenty - there's only 20 spots on the 'front page' of each market section so anything exceeding that would be pretty unfair to those with 1 thread. With two threads you could advertise an in game service and the other can be for general sales
I never saw or never noticed someone bumping 3 or 4 thread on marketplace, but if accept and the limit become 2, and I have 6 threads "2 buying", "2 trading" and "2 selling" I can bump only 2 of any section or I can just can bump 2 and wait the reset for bump another 2?
We haven't finalized it yet, but personally, I would apply the limit only for items sold as I feel it would be complicated to merge all services into 1 thread, example zakum, horntail, leech service Feel free to let us know your concerns if we missed out any
There aren't any plans finalized yet, but our current concerns are that there might be 10 or 20 'Selling threads' bumped by the same player to be on 1st page daily Hence for the situation of "2 buying", "2 trading" and "2 selling" would be considered as 2 active threads as they are in different sections of the marketplace Feel free to let us know if you have any other concerns about the marketplace threads being limited to, for example, 2 active threads per marketplace section (selling/buying/trading)
Idm if someone opening many threads. I can just put them in ignore list. The problem is delete/bump within 24hrs abusers.
We did notice there are players who attempt to 'evade' the bump limit by deleting the previous post after a few hours and post again We would warn them 1st before taking any further actions, actions have been taken against those who insist to bump excessively despite being warned
Seems like a nice idea in general. My only concern is the amount of manual intervention this requires. I hope staff have the appropriate solution to deal with the potential fixes
It kind of fogs the waters in terms of price-checking sold items since the thread is edited from the original if you only can have a set amount of open threads but want to sell many items at once. I like having one thread per item, then one thread for selling multiple low-priced items. Like a "store" thread. No limit is annoying too though. i get why yall might want to limit it.
As @GunzGaming mentioned, it's really nice having one thread per item for price check references in the future. Perhaps by defining "active threads" as threads able to be bumped in a 24 hour period could work as a solution. I would argue having 3 threads active to be bumped per day, while having no limit on threads open, could help clear marketplace clutter, while maintaining one thread per item price reference posts. So someone could have 4+ threads active in "selling", but would have to choose 3 of those 4 to bump in a single day.
infinite selling threads, 2 bumps per user per day. Yall don't need 10 threads and these offenders tend to also be peddling stuff worth under max meso. Like do you really need to have a thread for every item listed in your fm shop?
As the poll is coming to an end, would like to hear more Feedback as quite a few have voted for 'No Limit' The comments here will help Sen and me to decide whether the limit is required
I remember there was a guy with 7 threads weeks ago, i tell him to merge it, he doesnt accept my opinion xD... The search function is working anyway, i personal dun recommend more than 2 threads.
Just an update regarding this issue As of now, we do not see a need to enforce this strictly, hence the Staff would advise players with multiple threads to merge if they are bumping more than 3 threads in the marketplace section (Buying/Selling) To clarify, we are referring to more than 3 threads in either Buying/Selling only Example: S> BWG WA 14 S> BWG WA 15 S> BWG WA 16 S> BWG WA 21 If there are any players who created multiple threads (more than 3) to bump daily in either Buying or Selling, please submit a forum report so that the Staff can discuss whether the threads should be merged
