Vote Abuse?! Oooff. We would generally vote once every server reset. Which I would see as voting once within a given 24 hour time block. Is that not the case? If so then that was a huge misunderstanding on my part
So just to clarify, If I voted at say 22:00 and then voted again a couple hours later after 00:00 that's considered acceptable? If so, then I think we're in the clear because I don't believe we ever intentionally voted twice during the same 24 hour server day. However We didn't think about applying to the whitelist since I'd vote on either my desktop/laptop via internet connection and she'd vote on her phone using cellular data. Although in hindsight, she may have been using wifi instead of data...... Big ooof.... That was a genuinely naive assumption on my part thinking "As long as it's 2 different data connections, it should be fine." Although I would've figured Gtop or the Royals website would've given us some kind of "Hey, you've already voted today and must wait x amount of minutes to vote again!" prompt if a similar IP was detected. I fully understand that this punishment is a result of our (mostly my) negligence. Would it be possible to request a warning and/or serve a temporary ban in lieu of a permanent one? This time running through the proper whitelisting protocols as I should've done in the first place. We would greatly appreciate it if the MapleRoyals staff could consider this request, with the assurance that it won't happen again. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused
I'm not sure that the example you have given me would explain the ban unless you both have been voting using the same connection for some time now. Sadly, it seems like the vote abuse was severe enough to justify a permanent ban. Lenience was already considered prior to the ban being issued as the admins have within their best interest to retain as many players as possible.
We're both fairly new to this server and have played for roughly 4 months. I honestly can't argue with full confidence that she has voted off cellular data 100% of the time, but she insists that she has been using data when she did vote. Perhaps there were a few times where she did in fact vote off wifi, which I'm assuming is the case which resulted in the ban. If so, then I would argue that the charge of Major Infraction: Major Vote Abuse is a bit excessive for this scenario and I feel that this case hasn't been approached with the consideration or leniency that it deserves given these circumstances. I would like to request a courtesy retrial, and/or perhaps have this sentence lessened to Moderate Infraction: Minor Vote Abuse. This is not an attempt at bargaining or haggling, just a simple request that I would greatly appreciate if the MapleRoyals staff could consider on my behalf. I say that with full respect towards the MapleRoyals staff, fully realizing that you see multiple circumstances and examples of voter abuse and other violations on a daily, if not hourly basis. I appreciate all that you do, and recognize that it can be mind numbingly painful having to deal with. I just ask that this appeal be given the fair chance that I feel it deserves based off the arguments and circumstances I have provided. Thank you.
The common practice is for both household members to make their own ban appeal, but if your spouse doesn't wish to do so, could you kindly list all of her IGNs as well? I would like to have a clear understanding of what character belongs to whom before I request an admin to look further into your ban appeal and voting record.

other than voting issues you're also online and playing on both accounts on the same device at the same time and share an alarming amount of account details like pin / DoB etc. leading us to believe that you're either attempting to vote for yourself on both your accounts or you're account sharing with your partner
Hello Tim, Thanks for taking the time to review my appeal! I apologize for my late response as things have been pretty busy the last week. I created her account for her, with an alarming lack of creativity, having both accounts/characters named after my business & DoB. The pin is our wedding anniversary, which is easy for both of us to remember. Both accounts have different PICS, I have mine and she has hers, neither one of us have access to our characters without intervention from the other. It's true that I would multiclient, logging into my account and then having her log into her account on my computer (or laptop) for the purpose of leeching her character with my Bishop. We especially took advantage of this during the 2x exp weekend. I deny all claims of vote abuse, however I can't argue the point on how this could be considered account sharing

Most unfortunate.... Well we genuinely appreciate the time that Dasha, Tim, and yourself put into reviewing our appeal and sincerely apologize on our part for violating the ToS. Although we regret that favorable circumstances were unable to be reached, we respectfully accept the decision that the staff has come to. Our time on MapleRoyals was short, but sweet. I'll be sure to treasure the moments, experiences, and friends we've made during our occupancy. I wish my friends, my fellow guildies, the staff, and lastly the server, continued success.
