I am just the one of those, clients crashed while doing bosses then be here to complain something about this update LOL. There is no notification about we go back to .wz setup in the update post, only saying player should no longer experience random client crash while the truth goes opposite for now. I feel I never had any client crash after the .img setup came out but why we now going backward? Is there a reason it has to be the whole .wz loaded after this update? Edit: all of my clients' resolution are 800x600
No that doesn't work for me at all, I used 4 small clients to solo a boss then 3 of them crashed at the same moment during that.
Yeah 800x600 crashed as soon as I lvd and then it was back to black screens and having to restart my comp
Give me img-files please. Whats the point of running "smoother" (niberg/verga) on old computer if ur entire client fkn crahses lul
Personally gets lots of random crashes since the new setup by: changing channel recasting skills boss runs (bye apples ) last night when I left my store permit on while sleeping halfway through my first pap today img-setup only crashed me when there is a serious bug / my connection issue
its very frustrating that every update fixes one thing and breaks 5 other things x.x going into apq/bosses feels like a gamble now
The dc is so frequent and unpredictable this patch. It's the worst its been. While multi clienting auf/ht, each client will close one by one randomly without an error message or any lag. Even dcing when single clienting those bosses too. Switching to VPN an the small client also doesn't fix anything either. The game is virtually unplayable, going into any boss run is a gamble which explains why HTP is 300m+ and book prices are skyrocketing. I hope these issues are addressed soon.
Single clients will DC, so I must have multiple spare gear and clients.The main Char may DC, so it can be a LONG RUN at times. I'll sleep until the new .img file arrives cya Valentines events zzZ
i can't even play maple doesnt open in windows xp anymore (themida error), i think it would be a good idea to make the clients as they used to be, separate, the 1200 and the 800 resolution as separate clients like before, maybe that could fix it?
Very frustrating not being able to run stuff since everyone's been crashing constantly. Even though I don't crash that much, Horntail is 100% crash rate so I don't even bother.
I’ve been blackscreening specifically inside APQ bonus you can imagine how sad I am during an apple event. If I happen to be playing full screen I have to restart my computer to get out of it. My clients just close randomly without any error message in CWK boss map (one at a time, its Russian roulette) While HT has been fine for me, all my friends are dcing nearly 100% of the time and most of the time we have to abandon the run. Many of us have lost motivation to play. I’ve tried all the temp fixes and no luck.
Is there some plan to bring back the img client version or to make both versions available? When you implemented the img version it solved all my client issues (random crashes) and the client was extremely stable. Now we went back to the shit client version and it's such a degradation. Random client crashes (clients closing without any error message) all over the place. - crashes when there are a lot of players on screen - crashes when mages use gene/blizzard/meteor - crashes when running through APQ stage 5 - crashes when casually walking around Amoria - crashes when leaving valentine boss map Idk why you're making such huge experimental client changes during the most important events of the year... First CNY event was unplayable due to client issues, now there's another event and we have client issues again.
I've been constantly DCing in HT. Please bring back an updated version of .img files client for the ones experiencing issues still. (ME)
While the client conversion in Update 76 brought many bugs which were solved by giving out an img based setup this should not be the case to fix the new bugs/crashes since Update 77. If you want to help us fixing the issues please leave your input in this thread: Update 77 Crash List Short insights from our Devs: Wz files should offer better performance with the downsight of higher memory usage which can lead to issues regarding e.g. bossing. Img files do cause random crashes - probably because they require much more data loading and unloading. Once we are done fixing the bugs/crashes unrelated to the transition to wz files we will re-evaluate the state of crashing and release a img setup if necessary while still making wz files a more stable solution. Hopefully we won’t need img based files anymore. All in all are aware that any crashes and bugs can be frustrating. All we do is for a better and fairer gameplay experience!
