as u can tell most of the pq's require long search for people that can be changed once the reward system changes, if people had rewards to look for that are worth the wait and effort. they would most definately pq more often and it would not be as hard to find people as it is currently . think about it ... maybe some gach items ... rarely is good enough for people to come and pq thanx
What PQs are you speaking about that take awhile to search for people, in specifics? -- Just curious.
I'm guessing Kerning PQ and Ludi PQ. Ludi PQ just sin't worth doing, seeing as we have Carnival PQ, which is a lot better in terms of exp. As for Kerning PQ: it doesn't take TOO long to find a party most of the time, but it's still not that popular. But implementing better rewards for those PQs seems like a bad idea to me, personally.
disagree with modifying the rewards. The rewards should be the same as the rewards in v.62. p/s I come from MapleSEA, I realised that the rate to acquire Brown Bamboo Hat in kpq is much lesser in this servers, does the rate in GMS is also like this? (just curious and wish to know as I never played GMS)
kerning pq and LMPQ and i havnt found one single person in ORBIS PQ in all other servers and GMS its crowded with people its not that there are not enough people online its that they prefer gridning cuz of bugs or the lack of people... its necessary to modify the rewards so it could be alittle crowded and no need to beg people to play.
You can get a brown bamboo hat from doing Maya's questline =) OPQ was bugged for a long time, as far as I know it still is =(. It is something I'd love to try sometime though. There also aren't that many lower leveled players on the server, as it takes so little time to get to 3rd job.
LMPQ has plenty of people. You can easily find a party there. Kerning PQ is indeed not very crowded, but a low-level PQ liek that doesn't need an upgrade in terms of rewards in my opinion. As for Orbis PQ, that PQ is glitchy and does not function properly (that's what people tell me at least), so naturally people won't be doing that. Also, Orbis PQ has the same problem as Ludi PQ, being that there is a much faster way to level: Ludi maze PQ.
u can find people .. but much less than other private servers online.. one or two ppl max then u gotta smega .. i think it can get better
I would be in support of this idea for KPQ specifically Lower level characters would get a 'headstart' or early 'advantage' if they got something worthwhile. Maybe incorporating in some little things that would have a fair chance to drop and an even greater need in the economy; such as clean wgs/bathrobes or the upper valued 10% scrolls (Shield M. ATT/GFMA/etc) would help a lot more than having only a few expensive items dropping. (Some) Higher level players would enlist in KPQ for some of the specific 'better' or more valuable items that are available for rewards and this would enable them to help some of the lower levels get through the PQ's faster as well. I would be in support of this for some PQ's but for some with the lower completion times, such as LMPQ, I feel if all PQ's were updated with this feature, there wouldn't be as many players spending time on it. Maybe the idea of a "PQ Point System" could be introduced where there would be a list of rewards to choose from based on how many points are achieved and points could be relative to each PQ's difficulty/time.
I agree with this post. PQs are really lacking people nowadays mainly because many often choose to grind rather than to do PQ. I am talking about KPQ, CPQ, and LMPQ mainly here. I don't know when the last time you guys have been to any of these was, but from the joined date on your accounts I assume it wasn't very recently. These PQs have had dwindling numbers of people as time goes on and many times there are those who can't find who to PQ with for some time. Many of the lower levels in the guild I'm in often as for tips on places to grind because they can't find people to PQ with. The reason PQ even exists is so people are able to reach higher levels in the game relatively quickly. I think most of us agree that PQs is the fastest way to level up through 3rd job for most classes (That is of course not counting being leeched). So the problem arises when people choose to grind over doing PQs which causes a lack of people at the PQ which causes other people to have to grind therefore they won't be at the PQ area for the next person to invite them and thus the vicious cycle continues. It's easy for us as players who are past this hump to say "You go grind here/there" or "Don't worry you'll find people", but put yourself in the shoes of a person who is brand new to the server and doesn't know anyone yet and this tool (PQ) which is both a good way of leveling up and a good way of meeting people is unavailable to you because of the lack of people that actively participate. I can imagine any new player would be somewhat frustrated with this, and even if this idea is rejected I think it's worth doing something over.
I have recently made several new characters and never had any problem finding a party. I don't think it ever took me longer than 5 minutes to find one. And I did all three if the PQs you mentioned.
Are you guys forgetting HPQ and APQ? APQ is 100% of the time deserted because of bugs I know. I can't say much for HPQ. I would just like to put it out there that there are 2 other phantom PQ spots!
i i agree with you! maybe not LMPQ but kerning pq should have nice head start for new players. and IT IS annoying tryna find people to kpq with! no high lvls want to help because its a waste of time . strongly agree with your comment!
Adding PQ rewards like they have in GMS would no doubt make people do them more. Similar to how you get the valentine's event ring by killing the boss 30 times, you'd get these rewards by completing each PQ x amount of times. KPQ = Squishy Slime Shoes LPQ = Broken Glasses PPQ = Lord Pirate's Hat Just to name a few.
Here's my quote from another thread. "I agree that LPQ should be made more competitive/have more people. Right now the problem is that CPQ is chosen over LPQ because of its brainless ease and quick EXP; hence, no one chooses LPQ. If LPQ were shifted to a higher level range, and had a lot more EXP, people would do it. I recommend making the level range for LPQ 70+ (successor to LMPQ), offering decent EXP to people in 70-100 range. Then there would be one PQ for each level range, KPQ for 21-30, CPQ for 30-50, LMPQ for 50-70, LPQ for 70-100. That offers a friendly alternative to boring grinding, which is basically life after level 70 these days.." Those are just some ideas. Most importantly the bugs in PQs need to be fixed. Nobody's going to do LPQ when you DC half the time. I think increasing the viability of PQ will ultimately make MR more enjoyable as most people prefer working together as a party to level rather than solo grinding/leeching. And here's a funny video on LPQ:
