I came to this idea after trying to explain how to avoid multi-voting and how it is easily abused and bannable. Personally I try to vote on only one character for the past period because I usually do not remember if I have voted today yet and the only way to check it is to try to vote and see if it allows me to do so. Although I believe that a certain level of protection is implemented to prevent multi-voting from happening, I think it will be nice if we can claim two or more accounts belongs to the same person and check it before one may commit bannable offense. This can be helpful in some cases: As mentioned above, check and prevent multi-voting Prevent logging on account under B when an account under A is currently logged (prevent unconscious account sharing) Prevent account trading In short, this server is mule/multi-client heavy and I this will be helpful for account management. I think these easily committable offense should be foolproof to a level.
What do you mean by "foolproof"? it tells you on the voting page that you can only vote once per household and apply for whitelist if there's more than person playing, sure some players may not understand English but it really doesn't take much to translate, AND if you click on voting rules it elaborates more on the rules AND includes sketches. So lets be real here, atleast 90% of vote abusers are very aware of the rules but here's what I bet goes through their brains: #1: "Oh hecc, I'll vote on 2 accounts for only 3 days so that it would be minor" *proceeds to vote for a year on 2 accounts* #2: *Doesn't thoroughly read the rules* "Oh! so even if I vote on 9 accounts for 2 years and get banned it would only be 14-days since It's my first offense?! that's one hell of a deal!" #3: "I'll just fake having Dyslexia if I get caught hehe" And the other 10% were simply too lazy to actually read the rules.
What I meant is if I happen to need to vote on character B for extra NX instead of regular account A (and I already did today) and somehow the system allows me because reasons such as trying to use my phone to vote on cellular data. This is to prevent people who didn't want to multi-vote from doing so, not to stop people who wanted to multi-vote from abusing it.
Remove APR and gacha ticket from cash shop, add in surprise style / mount / equip boxes. Allow vote abuse moving forward. Foolproof.
You're literally circumventing the rules by doing so, the system told you that you already voted today and you're avoiding that by using your phone instead. I can't see how this is an "accident". How about making the conscious decision to not use your phone to vote if the system told you that you already voted? Well, vote abuse is just what gave me the idea and you are right about people lived fine 7 years and we sure can deal with this for another 7 years. I'm just trying to give some idea. How about preventing people from entering event map on two different pc since the only check right now seems to be checking for same device? I'm not going to go too deep into the "how to" part since I don't think that is my job. Lastly , I'm not trying to justify those claim saying they vote abuse accidently. In fact, I can delete everything I have said about vote abuse and I still think this idea help.
While it is cumbersome to check if you have voted on an account when you have multiple accounts, this is not a wise change, as there are too many variables to consider. Further, determining account ownership and relating account ownership over multiple accounts is something that should remain as a back end verification process on an as needed basis and continuous investigative purposes (i.e. account sharing rule enforcement.) There are other ways that you as a player can ensure that you don't double vote or violate voting rules. For example, vote on the same IP if possible every day you vote. If you've already voted on an account, Royals will tell you. If you've already voted from an IP, gtop will tell you.
