What is IMG setup, what is WZ setup and what is the difference?... If possible, pls explain in player experience and developer perspective. Also... which setup was used during year 2021? Thanks
I am not savvy on the technical side, but I can share on player experience. Earlier this year, WZ setup was released and replaced IMG setup for a period of time. Back then, lots of us experienced frequent game crashes. Personally, my game crashed when I did the following (there are more issues experienced across other players): changing channel (this is still happening in the current IMG setup but farrrrrrr less frequent) recasting skills halfway through boss runs (mass/single dc/dc one by one) AFK store permit There are some people who claim WZ setup is better / have both installed. I am open on this but I will stick with what works the best for me now.
Thanks for sharing. Based on my own observation, latest (13th May 2022) IMG setup is having severe performance issue in anniversary cake event map, PC restarted and same issue in half filled map too. could be memory leakage issue. Re-installed with WZ setup and silky smooth in cc1 cake map.
