Looks like you have been permanently banned due to our suspicion of your involvement with real-world trade. Spoiler: MapleRoyals TOS Major Infraction: Real-World Trading Punishment: Permanent ban. Real World Trading - The act of exploiting the software or the game for any sort of commercial purpose, including buying or selling items, Mesos, or services for real-world currency or barter. Additionally, any and all solicitation, advertisement, or other promotion of the aforementioned, irrespective of the location of the act. Real World Trading involves the transaction of out-of-game services, items, or currency for in-game benefits. We understand that some players are interested in other activities, such as arts, crafts, or Twitch Streaming, and may wish to compensate those who assist them from either side with in-game benefits. However, this does place a player in a situation where they may be considered to have participated in real-world trading, at the discretion of Staff. We advise against any and all of these sorts of Meso-for-art trades. Furthermore, the act of soliciting real-world trading does qualify as an infraction of this rule, both in-game and out of the game, and therefore requesting any in-game item for real-world currencies or vice versa may result in consequences as per this rule at the discretion of Staff. For live streaming or similar content, the content creator should ensure they do not offer in-game items or services in exchange for followers, subscribers, donations, or anything else that may constitute real-world benefits. If a content creator wishes to give away items or Mesos, this must be done fairly to all viewers and not specifically for followers, subscribers, or donators. Additionally, content creators must not incentivize following, subscribing, or donating by rewarding such acts with in-game benefits. Can you elaborate on the origins of your funds and items?
im a returning player from maybe 2 years ago! I used to save up voting points and do gatcha to get white scrolls, chaos scrolls etc. I remember buying gear that hold there value or go up to flip or sell at a later date! The same with apples. When I came back to the server I started selling the investments I made to fund a new character!
Last time i logged in was last Thursday or Friday i cant remember now. I'm an old player from 2 years ago and decided to sell gear and apples i have been hording... I do APQ on Radnoj. I am married to a IRL friend. We try and do APQ as much as possible.
My married partner's name is Schmeckleton. It shouldn't matter because i brought them apples before i quit the first time hoping they would go up in the future...
Have you check on all my characters? Idk if i got them via someone selling them via smega or if it was a FM shop, it was to long ago! It this point i dont even care, keep me banned if you want, kinda over it!
Moving post from the user's new post (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-appeal.224609/) to this post: Hi MapleRoyals Admin Team, My name is Brandon and I am the owner of MasqueradeNX who has the following characters: Radnoj, TheBrick, KarlMarksman, FrozenFresh, MiniCosair and ChilliSause. I was banned around June-2022 and my appeal was looked at by Dasha and Tim at the time. After a recent event where my friends were speaking to former GM (ign) ‘Saturn’ who recommended that if I believe I had done no wrong then I could try and re-open this appeal and explain myself better with intention to become un-banned. I would sincerely like to reach out to the team one last time to properly explain myself and offer some points for consideration. Like you, I enjoy coming back to this game with my friends and feeling nostalgic towards a game that we all grew up playing and loving. To begin, I would like to acknowledge and apologize how I came across in my original response. It was immature and not helpful at all. I don’t want to give any excuses, but my mindset was not well during the post-COVID period, and I should have been more forthcoming and insightful in my responses to the team who were trying to ultimately help me become un-banned. In the appeal thread I was informed that I was banned on suspicion of real-world trading and was asked to elaborate on the origins of my funds and items. My initial answer to the question was that I made my wealth by voting and using the points to do Gachapon where I sold the valuable items such as Chaos Scrolls, White Scrolls etc. I also spent a lot of time in the market buying and selling gear for profit and also sold Onyx Apples I got from APQ which I did on my character ‘Radnoj’. My last response mentioned that before I quit, I bought apples hoping they would increase in price at a later period. The Administrator Tim said my purchase history did not contain onyx apples. I then got frustrated because I couldn’t remember what happened 2 years ago and just gave up saying I didn’t care if I was banned and was over it. The truth of the matter is that upon recounting my steps with my friends I realized that I probably did not buy any apples. I certainly did sell apples and gear, but I don’t recall buying apples to sell them later. When speaking to my friends recently (I can provide their in-game names upon request), they had said that during our early days playing the game I was in Nautilus when another player whom I did not know dropped a single stack of Onyx Apples – less than 100. I recall this happening, but I cannot recall the day it happened on. I still stand by my statement that I accrued wealth in the game via Gachapon, Buying/Selling Gear on FM, also farming Japanese Maps and Dark Noels in Phantom Forest from Leprechauns and receiving gifts from friends. I did not engage in any real-world-trading. This account had Royal Points on it, and I spent real money so I would never jeopardies the account by paying real money to receive in game currency especially when the consequence is to be perma-banned. As you can imagine, it can be incredibly challenging to remember minute details from 2 years ago on a game that I ended not playing for such a long time. It would be difficult to give you exact dates as to when I did what, but I can try my best to explain how I got specific items if you would share which items exactly arose suspicion? I’m incredibly disheartened to be suddenly banned on suspicion of real-world trading and I’m not quite sure what even flagged this in the first place. If you have doubts on the integrity of my character, my friends who are current players are willing to email character references and personal accounts to help support the claim that I did not undertake any nefarious activities whilst playing the game. I would love a second chance to be able to play with my friends again on this server and hope that you might consider this appeal once more. Warm Regards, Brandon
I have alerted our admins of your post. They will review your appeal when they are able based on the queue.
do you remember more details about suddenly obtaining a lot of onyx apples for free from someone you dont know?
Hi Tim, Thanks for coming back to this and looking into it. I don't recall in fine detail but the context was that I was exploring the Mapleroyals region since I was pretty new to the game at the time and was around Nautilus when I came across a stranger who dropped about a stack of apples (no more than 100) for no reason after I said Hi. After this he kept going on his way and then I split it between myself and my friends. That's unfortunately all I remember about the interaction but what I can say with 90% certainty is that it was no more than 100 apples. On other occassions, I have also held Apples (and other items) for my friends and sold it in my shop on their behalf when I spent my NX on shops - however I can't recall if these items were drop traded or normally traded. When we went on our hiatus, there is a good chance that I was still holding onto their things. I hope this helps with your investigation. Thanks! Brandon
