Hello, I'm returning to the game after a big break and I never understood much of stat strategizing (if only because I was 10 when I played old maple). I saw that many comments recommending going luckless mainly because it costs less, but a friend told me that he tried doing to but had a bad time because he was always too low on luck for equipment which ultimately made it harder for him to progress. In addition most of the comments are quite old so I don't know how much has changed since then. I only started playing so I have some time before I reach level 30, but I would really like an advice on what route I should take (and any other tip would be highly welcomed). I have no funding (since I just started) and I'm using Jooon's bishop guide if that matters. Thanks in advance!
You wouldn't need to use any luck equipment at all until post zakum helmet and horntail pendant. (Lvl120+) Its easier to progress, you don't have to worry about gears other than Maple Staff & Maple Lama Staff, Maple Wisdom Staff and basically thats it. Just add INT, INT & INT. The amazing part is, it allows you to do more damage and level faster than the normal build. Its magical.
Thank you for your help! I was a bit confused also because in Jooon's guide it seems that you need to have 23 points at level 200, and I wasn't sure when you're supposed to add them. On another matter (because I don't want to spam with threads), on the Miwok artifact questline, should I choose the int ring or the chair? I mean, game wise I'm assuming a ring is better, but if you change it right away maybe I should chose the "collector's item".
For the 23 base luk, add it whenever you want tbh, say maybe you're a few luk low for an overall or something, go for it. For the miwok event I'm pretty sure you can do both. And the ring has godly potential of 8int 8luk which makes it potentially best in slot, good luck! One last thing... Be a lukless bishop, not a luckless bishop!
I think I'm more on the graceless bishop route. Oh, then one final question: Where do I get the drops from? I assumed that the branch of the wise old tree or whatever for example would drop from a regular stump but this doesn't seem to happen, and no information is on hiddenstreet or mapletip.
Wait, I just walked into an equipment shop, I so that all wands and staff require more luk (i.e. the level 13 wand requires 15 luk) so I should maybe raise my luk now so I could upgrade? I'm sorry for the noob question, I just want to do it right
Use the Lv 7 wand till you can use maple wands/staffs (lv. 35/43/64/77). You can also use elemental wands 1-4 (Lv. 70) and then finally on lv. 130 elemental wands 5-8.
Ohh okay, Thank you! (I was a bit confused because I thought you specifically need to have 23 luk for the weapons.
The 23 Luk come from you being unable to raise your base int any higher than 999 which you reach by level 197 so you can add the rest into Luk.
Sorry to bump up the thread again, I wasn't sure if it justifies opening a new one, but I have one more question: When I get scrolled equip, should I aim for luk or int? For example, My friend gave me a bathrobe with luk (which I took because free stuff) but I wasn't sure if it would be better to get one scrolled for int
