Hey I just came back after a few years hiatus, having a lot of fun with my shadower, but back then i only bombed stuff really. I've tried every combination of DS-BS-Assassinate macros, but I always end up getting stuck in darksight while spamming the combo. It seems to happen if I press arrow keys or other keys during certain parts of the macro, I've gotten better at just timing this, it also happens if I get hit in certain ways but most importantly it happens when I get stunned. I'm pretty good and just popping myself out of it, but if I get stunned & stuck in dark sight, I can definitely die (I can hear autopot going ham trying to heal me)... Died twice on Ellin Fairy boss b/c of this. Not sure if this has to do with latency my internet connection isn't the greatest. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Or shadower fact of life? Thanks
You can cancel dark sight by right clicking the top right buff icon. It does make shadower one of the more active class in the game.
Getting your macro interrupted happens a lot. It has nothing to do with latency, you just have to deal with it. Right-clicking the buff icon is an emergency thing you really should not have to rely on; you should play in a way that avoids getting yourself in those situations in the first place. btw I died to Ephenia too before I figured out that the solution was to stop using Assassinate when her summoned fairies are alive. You can't get stunned in dark sight and die if you never enter dark sight in the first place, and bstep+band of thieves kills the fairies pretty fast so it's not too bad.
I play World of Warcraft (err used to, but might come back for Dragonflight expansion tbh) and I use my old keykinds for skills. (Q,E,T,F,C,V,G) Whichever didn't use anything useful for Maple (E for example is Equipment tab so I don't use it on here) I have Q set to regular attack (moved Quest tab to L similar to WoW) and C is my assassinate macro, so my pinky/ring finger hovers over Q so I can break out of Dark Sight whenever that happens. My thumb hits C for single-target situations (bossing) and my pointer finger hits F for multi-target situations (Ephenia fairies, LHC, anything with 2 or more targets to hit.) It's much more reliable than panicking and trying to right click darksight and accidentally right click an apple or gelt, or something useful.. I'm also left-handed too, so my Maple stuff is built for lefties. I would try moving your regular attack to a key that you can easily access to break out of darksight whenever that happens imho. It's much more reliable than right-clicking the buff at the top of your screen. C is my single-target macro, and F is my multi-target macro. Shift is always my buffs (booster + haste) and whenever I feel lazy and just want to walk around I put Haste on spacebar lol

I usually use basic attack to cancel dark sight. It’s easier for me when I play 5 shadowers at the same time. When shad get sealed, it’ll also stuck in dark sight
