Same thing happened to me, I was trying to reset pin and turns out I was trying the wrong email. Unfortunately if you can't recover your account settings via the control panel on the homepage you will need to contact an admin. Here is a message that the GM Becca sent me when I had this problem. You'll have to make a request over at support. Unfortunately the wait-times for an Admin are pretty long right now, there's nothing more the rest of Staff can do about it. I keep trying to do daily bumps in those threads but we can't really hold a gun to the Admins head and force them to do it so to speak they'll get around to it whenever they can which can take 1-4 weeks I'm afraid.
