Dear Gamemasters, After being very excited to play MS Royals on my new MacBook Air.. I came to the conclusion (after a shit ton of failed attempts, willingness to pay 100eu for Parallels, etc) that it's just impossible to play Royals on a M1 chipped Mac airbook... BUT.. I did come across the fact that CrossOver DOES work with MapleLegends. Wich is also a private server as u guys know. My question is. Can we also make this happen? CrossOver x MapleRoyals? Well.. I mean.... if MapleLegends can do it Thank you! Much love
before they published that mapleroyals can be played on a cell phone (I don't know the link) I Will be honest but impossible in neighboring servers they achieve it they know about programming and virtualization that you mention I hope with what I said you are not going to bother
Hmm I see. So if that's true, can it also be played on a tablet / ipad? Too bad though. Guess Parralels isn't as good as they say it is.. (at the end of the day)
Just wanna throw Virtual Box out there as a recommendation! It's free, and you could just do a quick google search on how to get it configured. Should be able to run Royals just fine, however I can't speak on behalf of performance as I've never to go through those hoops to play.
I appreciate your gesture but I've tried it all brother. Nothings seems to work. I just had higher expectations of services like Parallels since they FORCE M1 Mac users to use AND... PAY for it. Whilst Bootcamp (older version) worked perfectly. & still does. So yeah! Bootcamp was older, free & worked perfectly. Parallels is new, costs money & doesn't work Go figure
i wonder if its possible i also have an m1 mac i haven't played since i got it because of this same reason
Tried a few months ago and it gave an error when trying to open up the client. I’ll probably try again later to confirm if this helps to someday find a fix.
It actually might work now. I do know that Wine didn’t work for the longest time with the v83 client, but a few months ago a Wine update fixed some things. I was able to get the client running on my Intel Mac seemingly without issues. It has also been tested and works for Linux and Steamdeck. It’s possible a similar fix has been applied for Crossover but I do not have an m1 chip mac to test with.
No luck for me. I seem to be getting an out of memory error when trying to install it with CrossOver. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
Tried out crossover 22 with an M1 chip MAC and was able to install Royals and get to this page, but unfortunately it seems to freeze after entering PIC and pressing "OK".
Quick update: When I downloaded Royals onto Crossover "CSMT" was switched on. I turned it off and now I'm able to fully log in and play. I'm a bit busy atm so I haven't tried fully testing out how functional it is, but I was able to move around maps just fine. So @Matt was right in saying Crossover should work with M1 MACs
Hello Thank you for trying to help our community, but it still not working on my side. Can you please describe exactly what you did and what your settings are? First of all, which download you used? WZ setups/IMG setups Because I getting an error code (attached) I also attached all my settings (note that I using windows 10 64-bit, and I also disable all the toggles on the control panel) But maybe you have some settings under Wine Configuration Thanks
I'm not well-versed in this kind of stuff, but I'll try my best to go step by step for what ended up working for me. I also don't know why it's working for me, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable about this can see something from what I did and better help others. First off this is my system I got this M1 laptop this weekend, because my previous Intel Mac stopped working. I was previously able to run Royals on Parallels 15 and Windows 10 with that Intel Mac just fine. Because of that, I initially tried to run Royals on Parallels 18 and Windows 11 for my new M1 Mac. Royals downloaded successfully on Parallels with the WZ files but was not able to run after being installed. I came across this thread and saw Matt say that Crossover should work so I gave it a try. -I downloaded the Crossover 22 trial and then created a Windows 10 64bit bottle. -I then added the Royals installer I downloaded earlier when I was still using parallels that was still on my computer . From there, I didn't do anything else outside of turning of the CSMT and it just seemed to work for me. I didn't change anything from it, but here is a screenshot of my Wine Configuration. If there is any screenshot of my setup that I can provide that you think would help, let me know and I would be happy to provide that for you!
:\ oh, we have different M1, I have the M1 MAX chip and I use the newest version of macOS Ventura Can you come to the discord of Mapleroyals under Technical-help? it will help us a lot
Just messaged on the discord server. Would be more than happy to export the bottle archive if you lmk how. I have no idea how to do it.
