Solved [Solution Given] Can't proceed after PIC

    Where are you having an issue(s):

    *In-Game

    Date and Time when issue(s) occurred (GMT):

    *11/09/2022 at 22:00

    Details of the issue:

    After logging in and using my PIC I get a pop up say "Having trouble lgoging into the game?"
    Today I had a technician installing fiber in my home so I guess entire network and IP changed, maybe it's that.
    Hope you can help

    I did. Unfortunately it did not solve the issue. Also rebooted the modem, etc.

    Yes... I'm using one for my work (I work from home as a security researcher) but I don't think I ever used it while mapling...

    If the issues did not occur while you had the VPN installed previously and only occur after the fiber is installed, could be your modem or router new default settings blocking Royals network

    Are you able to try pinging 51.68.205.179 to see if there's any response?
    This is the IP address for Royals

    Seems like no problem
    Also I am able to log into the game, the alert pops up after inserting PIC code at character selection

    Based on the findings so far, the only conclusion I can come to is that you might be MAC banned since the issue doesn't seem to be with your network

    Note: you may also test login via your mobile data (hotspot) to rule out network connection as the issue

    What can I do then?
    I tried mobile hotspot and the issue remains.
    If I were to change MAC, is that legit? Did I do anything illegal?

    Would be best to submit a Ban Appeal to confirm if your accounts are involved with any bans

    Based on your latest reply on the Ban Appeal, the situation still sounds like a MAC ban to me

    Does anyone else use the same PC to play Royals before?

    Are you able to test removing your work VPN awhile to see if it's the issue

    There are times where work-related VPN block game related connections/port to prevent employees from gaming on the work PC

    Well I don't think that's the problem, this VPN is not actually from my job but I've purchased the license privately (NordVPN) and got refund from work so there's nothing blocking me from their side, but I'll try and tell you if it made any difference.

    Cause NordVPN includes a fake MAC address and it won't work with Royals
    I am an ex-user of NordVPN, quitted using them cause of this

    Isn't there like an option to disable it?
    I don't actually turn on the VPN outside of work hours (or more specifically- when not playing royals)

    I have tried contacting NordVPN about it due to the sudden addition of a fake MAC address in the PC version at the time
    But they did not get my concern and simply closed the ticket

    I am unsure of how to disable their fake MAC address, only possible to evade the issue by using the web version of NordVPN and not the PC version

    A player in Royals Discord managed to resolve a similar issue (disconnect after PIC) by running Royals.EXE with admin rights, so you can check if you have that enabled

    Mine is enabled by default

    Well I just uninstalled NordVPN and you are absolutely correct, I am in the game! Thanks a lot.
    I will try it again with admin, but for the moment, any suggestion for a better VPN? :8):
