Hi everyone! I found this server 3 Months ago and i love it! PROBLEM: Im now lvl 74 and there is no further party quest after lmpq wich is usefull for lvling. Im a PQ-Player cuz i love to grind with other peoples in Party Quests. Im the kind of player who goes tough kpq then carnivalpq then to lmpq for lvling, im not much into doing the normal quests and killing mobs with the same skills over and over again. ( would also do lpq, opq if it would be more ppl there) Now that im over lvl 72 i need to go grind somewhere else in a map. After two lvls i got sooooooooooo bored of lvling in the same map with the same skills over and over again. couldnt imagine doing this for the next 20-30 lvls und so on, so i startet a new character and had my fun doing PQ's again and lvling up to lvl 72 where the problem apperas again. Puuuuhhhh i can just tell you that I rather quit mapling insted of ginding in the same map with the same skills over and over again! wheres is the fun in spending thousands of hours doing the same boring routine over and over again, almost no change anymore. I realised that some of the players also stop lvling up around lvl 70-80, and start a new character or just hang around the fm becouse they are also tried of this "grinding-routine" which will come now, or pay someone they can leech of. Whats the idea of playing a game and then pay someone else that he's grinding for you and you can leech of him? And this is happening alot! Think about that! It's absurd!!! So is it possible the bring more PQ's after lvl 70? Maybe R&J PQ? Or maybe just use the same PQ again with higher lvl range , maybe some other mobs added? Monster Carnival 2 or something like that I wrote this thread first of all that you ( Maple Royal Staff ) realize that this "problem" is here and that it might apply to more players that you think. In my opinion it would add much value to the game and then to the community and the playercount. Think about it For me, this problem will lead me to quit royalling, its just a matter of time. Hope you can use this feedback. AND NOW: ALL PLAYERS WHO GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AS I DO, PLEASE WRITE A FEEDBACK SO WE CAN ALL HELP DO MAKE MAPLE ROYALS BETTER AND MORE FUN! thx for your time and effort C
There's a lot of threads suggesting more pq's, and some of the pq's are in the process of being coded. It helps if you do some research on the forum beforehand to see if they've already discussed it or not. In this case, they definitely have.
Putting a bit of professionalism to your main post would also help @CasheedMS On the point of leeching, it's the fastest way to level during 3rd job and you don't have to do a thing. That's quite appealing and to those who have an alternative method of making mesos, it's the most efficient as well.
I'd be up for some more party quests but at the same time I wouldn't really care if they weren't added at all. If you really don't like grinding, which is basically what Maple is about, you can buy leech. Though personally I find getting leeched the most boring thing ever and has no sense of achievement.
The maps in party quests are the same maps over and over again. The skills you'll be using in party quests are THE SAME that you'd use in grinding.
I also love party quests. I see every pq as a challenge, and you do it together which creates so much fun. Now the problem I see in your post, is that you're acting like it's all over after lv 72. Yes it's hard to grind at some lvls, but you can party at lv 75 at Wolf spider untill like lv 95. For my level, which is ~140 you can do papulatus, zakum and krex which are challenges which you need others for. From level 155 you can HT, which is another challenge. Than there is ToT, where lots of parties are made. On top of that, if you find a guild you can do Guild PQ, theres also APQ and if you still have the feeling you need another pq, you can always KPQ or LPQ just for fun. Long story short; I don't see why we need another PQ.
It's not only about having a good place to train, but also the fun of PQs and alternatives to normal grinding which is lacking between levels 70 and 140.
I trained up during a time when LMPQ wasn't even really a thing so I tried to make challenges for myself during my training at 50+. Sometimes I'd play around with different training spots simply to switch it up and see just how fast I could train in underrated spots. I quickly figured out that WS suck and went to DGP on my White Knight at 72 or 73+. Training was quick so I was 100 in no time. I spent all of my time doing fun things with friends even though it wasn't always the best xp. After 100, when I felt things really slowing down is when I tried to challenge myself the most and it was really fun. I made HH hunting squads with my friends and also hosted Captain Latanica runs! Here's my first BIG achievement: Spoiler I challenged myself to solo this big guy and I did it! I did the same thing with Black Crow and Pianus (Though sadly I failed in finding a Pianus before 120) The point I'm trying to make is that I created my own fun alternatives and had a blast. I don't think that any additional PQs are really needed for those levels.
I usually do that too! But if the reasoning is that "it isn't needed" you could as well just remove all PQs since none of them are needed. Also, it's easier to find a party for a PQ instead of a boss like Capt. Latanica (if you don't have any friends, like me (rip)). EDIT: What is DGP?
I think that if there were more PQ's implemented in the game it would be easier. And v62 maplestory wasn't easy. It was a challenge! And if you get bored of grinding after 2 levels at 7X on a x4 EXP rate you have no work ethic.
OP just needs to learn what it means to grind. When I was level 74 I grinded at MG (mixed golems, at FoG) because there was no Singapore Ghost Ship yet. And that was on a 1x server. "After two lvls i got sooooooooooo bored of lvling in the same map with the same skills over and over again." It sounds to me like Maplestory is not the right game for you. Might I suggest Call of Duty?
I kinda agree with you, but why don't we remove all the maps except the most popular grinding spots then? This game isn't only about grinding.
I agree. At least some PQ alternative would be nice. PQ is just so much more fun than grinding over at the same places. Even with friends sometimes it's a bit too risky. If you don't watch out for your HP bar, you'll die (places like Himes/WS for some).
