Currently, screenshot files are named in a DD-MM-YYYY HH-MM-SS format. Apart from being a terrible standard, it also does not yield a sane ordering of the files. YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS is the generally accepted standard, and would also order the screenshots chronologically. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

What exactly is your point for it being a 'terrible standard'?
The most logical order is the one where the most important piece of information is presented first for the user to read. Displaying a year first makes no sense as that information is not that important. Rather the day and month are more important.
If you're concerned for the ordering of files on your machine, you can order the files in any folder by rightclicking:

The current format we use is the most commonly used format in the world and changing this would only be very confusing for everyone. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country
Where did you get the idea that your proposed format is the "generally accepted standard"?

I'm guessing you're basing it off your own environment. United States of America is notoriously known for having illogical formats, measuring things with their feet kekw

Check out this wiki page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country), third paragraph :)

Absolutely not, that is prejudicial and untrue. My proposed format isn't even an American standard.

I would argue that my proposed format is more logical. As a national of your country, you might be more familiar with the dd-mm-yyyy format, but there is a reason that my proposed format is an international standard. As mentioned before, the lexicographical order corresponds to the chronological order. This means that files would be naturally sorted, and there is certainly value in that.
I'm also curious why you think the day is the most important piece of information, when it is the least significant unit of time. In fact, in most numeric systems (e.g. the decimal system) numbers are written in order from most significant to least significant.

That may be true worldwide but for the purposes of determining what the date format should be for MapleRoyals screenshots, I would want to know how it this distribution for the MapleRoyals playerbase which is not representative of the world population. Or we can do a poll on preferences in this thread.

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS would have been amazing.
