    Hello :)

I should say, I haven't played Maple in a long time. I remember this Big Bang patch. I quit a little after that, didn't like it. At all. When I recently looked back, I saw this cubing stuff and oh, I turned around almost traight away. Good thing I found this private server, no? Well, hello. Maybe some people remember me. Mind that this was like 4-5 years ago. I played a F/P mage named Smexxii on Dementhos EMS. I was one of the few people with that special bandana that was similiar to a zak helm. I also had a Paladin, but I can't think of her name anymore. I leveled many alts, I think I like too many classes.

Now my question. I am looking for a class to play. Do you have some advice? I want these things, in order of importance:
    1. Not be declined to parties because my class is not that useful
    2. Solo bossing
    3. Uniqueness
    4. Damage

And another question that would allow me to choose a class better: which classes are able to be played as they were back in the days? With fully functional mastery books and skills working (mostly)?

Thank you. And hope to see you in game soon :)

Based on your list of criterias, it seems Corsairs sticks out the most.

You'll be pretty useful despite not having any party skills. People will want you to join their part because Corsairs are one of the top DPSers in the game.

Solo Bossing will be a breeze if you can manage to dodge a lot of attacks that can potentially kill you in one shot. Most the time, you will want to party up with someone to maximize your damage, but that's not to say that Corsairs aren't able to do the job by themselves.

Corsairs are quite unique. Their best damage output is while they're on their battleship. The unique thing about this battleship is that it had it's own HP limit. Once you take enough damage, it breaks and you'll have to wait until the cooldown is over. This deters many people from starting up a Corsair of their own, but adds to the uniqueness factor. Also, their 1st-3rd job training is worse than pretty much every other class.

Damage is a huge selling point to Corsairs. With Sharp Eyes and Speed Infusion, Corsairs are the most powerful class in the game.

Most of the classes in this server are playable near the last game. All skills, as far as I know, work properly or was fixed to work close to how they're supposed to work. Mastery Books are prevalent in this server.

Thanks for the advice. It sounds like something I could play. How would you say are Night Lords though?

    PLEASE
I'd say Night Lords are within those categories. Their damage is very high on the DPS chart and soloing is quite good. Problem is, their far from unique. Their damage is severely hindered unless you have Sharp Eyes and/or using very good Attack potions. Solo-wise, make yourself a Sharp Eyes mule and you're golden.

Night lords are the most comparable to sairs. They have very high DPS and you aren't reliant on SI because it gives no gain. In short,
Pros : they're great for bossing, amazing DPS, always needed for runs, not too hard to level.

Cons: They can get boring due to simplicity of their attacks, TT20 AND AVENGER FTW, they are expensive to fund if you wanna be a G, they need to be washed to boss early (on time), and they're incredibly clumsy with haste and flash jump (till you get the hang of it)

Please, let's not forget shadowers. They're good soloers and are useful for parties (smokescreen). They're unique too, I only know of a handful of high level active ones.

Problem is... Very expensive and you blow up your money (but no gear needed).

Take everything plenty said into consideration. I recently made a sair and immediately starting liking it more than my F/P and hero. My corsair is easily my favorite character already and can already kill bosses like krexel faster than my hero despite being 16 lvls lower (equal funding)
