From what I found it has a chance of working on an M1 mac with Crossover, but not on an M1 Pro or higher, idk why... If you try to run it with a processor better than M1 you get an error that I can't seem to fix
Debating whether I should try this with an M2 Mac. I still have my old windows PC but I'm not that desperate to play royals again. Anyone tried with the M2 that came out a couple months ago?
Don’t know how much help i can be unfortunately. For me, I know it works on my M1 MacBook Pro OS 12.3. I know on discord someone else said they got it working for them too with an M1. For me and the person on discord, I do know that once royals was installed, restarting our computers seemed to help. I never got the error code you posted though so I dont know how to troubleshoot that. Sorry!
I get the same problem as you did. I also followed your way what you did there and it still freezes.. idk what to do.
I upgraded my M1 Mac from Monterey 12.3 to Venture 13.1 and Crossover 22 no longer worked for me I tried to downgrade back to Monterey but was only able to get back to Monterey 12.6 and it seems that it is also not working for me. I'm actually getting the same error code that @yinz was getting. It seems to me that Royals can't be run on M1 Mac with iOS after 12.3? Has anyone been able to run Royals on their M1 with iOS 12.6+ ?
What Mac iOS are you using though? Because it was working fine for me on Crossover for weeks until I moved from 12.3 to 13.1 as well as 12.6
I got macbook air m1 and i updated to the latest version that there is just 2 hours ago. It worked fine earlier and it works fine now. I now double click to open royals and i usually wait 3-7 minutes. Check my guide.
@yinz @Tylapia I think I may have found the solution for your guys' error code. I was having the same error code for a while after upgrading iOS Pretty much it seems that at this time Royals can't be run on M1 Macbook Pros that have iOS above 12.3 While this is purely anecdotal to me, it seems that for me Royals worked at iOS 12.3 (Monterey), didn't work at iOS 13.1 (Ventura), and didn't work at iOS 12.6.1 (Monterey). I just downgraded again from iOS 12.6.1 (Monterey) to iOS 11.7.1 (Big Sur) and I am able to play Royals again. Below is the link I used to downgrade my M1 Macbook Pro from Monterey to Big Sur. I will require you to wipe your laptop and have an external hard disk to install the Big Sur iOS onto. So, make sure you back everything up before starting the process Best of luck!
Ventura 13.1 M1 Macbook Air here, can confirm that mapleroyals works with crossover Your crossover needs to be v22 for it to be compatible with Ventura
Interesting, I had crossover 22 at the time on my M1 Pro and it wasn’t working when I had Ventura. Maybe M1 Pros and M1 Airs have different compatibilities? Also another thing of note is that I have noticed significant improvements in the start up time between the patch in November (which took 5-8 minutes to load Royals) to the December patches (which load Royals instantly). So maybe Ventura works on Pros as well now with the December patch? Either way, glad to hear Royals is working on your M1!
My settings if you are interested to try again: - latest crossover from https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover - mapleroyals img download - windows xp 32bit - CSMT off - add AE server and crossover in your macbook settings
13.1 Ventura Crossover v22 M1 Pro still getting the call error. So newest OS X update didn’t change anything. Sadge.
