Wondering why the nerf to ilbi throwing stars was necessary?? It’s the strongest “Beginner friendly” throwing star for the casual NL player or for the average NL that doesn’t want to spend 200m or 700m per set for Cilbi&Furies..Aside from this recent throwing star nerf’ the little tweaks to skills like alchemist & shifter I feel we’re only made because of complaints from the people who don’t even play the NL class and it didn’t improve gameplay for anyone. Constantly making NLs weaker and/or making their gameplay more tedious in my opinion just isn’t a good way to balance the game, this game is supposed to be nostalgic yet NLs are the only class in the game being made weaker than their GMS counterparts. This game can still thrive by making improvements to other classes without touching NLs. #AllClassLivesMatters
I remember steelys being 8m and ilbi 30m back in the day. They should nerf ilbi drop rate. Ilbis being so easy to get is that nostalgic to you?
Nerf to ilbi increasing the gap between low-mid funded NL and god-tier NL again. There's probably going to be a fair spike in price on Cilbis now, as the 3 attack difference and recipe ingredient is going to increase demand, while decreasing supply. The QoL of NL just continues to go down while other classes become stronger while being more interesting; see shads. Maybe this is why we're seeing so many perfect claws hitting the matket- it's the god tier NL's reading the writing on the walls.
Shifting Ilbi down to 26 attack was made to have a one star per attack tier starting from Steely at 25. Previously Ilbi and Hwabi shared the same tier. You can switch to Hwabis if you were using Ilbis before. Hwabis will also allow you to carry more stars (200 more per set.) I can agree that the change is not wholly necessary, but characterizing this as increasing the gap between low-mid funded NL and god-tier NL or as a nerf is dramatic.
When the majority of stars in a NLs inventory are ilbi then taking 1att from it for no good reason puts a small hit on their damage range = a nerf
Perhaps it came off as dramatic, but there seems to be a growing difference between well funded and new players who want to play a class that happens to be the best at bossing (NL). The cost reduction of recharging is a welcome positive in change. Time will tell how the market changes around stars and their cost, but just saying you can switch to a better star doesn't change the fact that those who have only sets of ilbis just lost out on damage, or meso to upgrade. Be it small to players who have played a while, it still only hurts the newer players again.
Hwabis are easier to get than Illbis though. I would regularly see hwabis being sold at 1m or less while Illbis would easily net 2m. It kind of made no sense why hwabis had a level req and were the same attack as illbis. You should see people literally drop and give away hwabis because they came from NLC gatch. While I have no comment on the high tier stars, getting hwabis was always easier than illbis and I think more power being shifted to hwabis is okay.
Hi! New player here, only been around for ~1.5 weeks. I chose NL(Assassin currently) because my friends on the server said I'd be helpful lategame and I didn't even know it used to be the strongest bosser in the past. I just wanted to chime in on this change with my perspective of the game, since not many new players speak up about changes. I understand that the change was to even out the stars available at each tier, but having just spent 10m (a lot to me) on a new set of Ilbis a few days before this change, it feels like the change just makes the low-level grind of NL more tedious. I'm in the 60's now, and I just ran into 2 other players mentioning they got to ~63 (one said 61, the other 65) and stopped to switch to a more involved class. To be honest, with all that I'm reading about NL past nerfs, the existing tedium, and knowledge that I'll have to grind for cash/spend a pretty penny to be effective later game is making me nervous about continuing the class. Considering starting a Bucc but starting again with my tenure/funds isn't that simple. I've yet to see Hwabi stars in FM, and I don't have the spare 3m yet to use an owl to search for them and hope I get lucky and find some affordable ones. The extra +1 damage may not help a lot in the grand scheme of things, but it feels disheartening when I know I had it prior to the update and most other players with alt accounts have the money to get higher tier stars when they need them. Just overall feels like it's adding a punishing weight to the already tedious grind of an Assassin main starting out on the server. I'm speculating, but I doubt that this feeling is localized to me. Thought I'd give a view from my demographic of the player base. Overall having a blast and love the server
Just like back in the day, you would use steelys as early-mid game nl. Steelys price were 8m while ilbi being 30.. The ilbis here are almost worthless due to increased drop rate. Its not hard to understand
I can pass you some hwabiis if you would like but the reasoning you never see hwabii sellers before this patch because how worthless they were. While they had I believe 200 or 400 more stars in each, the level req, ugliness, and nostalgia in illbis made hwabis not worth the time to sell. They did however reduce the cost to rechargw your stars for illbis and hwabis I think
This post is for you and many others alike, hopefully they decide to reverse this change….I’d also like shifter to be put back to 30% dodge but that’s probably asking for much lol thanks for speaking up though!
i hv always used hwabis, opting to put my bfs n mtks into storage n use nx stars to cover up my poverty . also, i agree hwabis kinda hard to sell. 8ook also kinda hard to sell sometimes
Yes if you play this game without interacting with other players, Illbis are easier to hunt for. Hwabis are a common item from the most popular gatchapon on our server, New Leaf City. I would say with every 20 tickets people probably get 1-3. And thousands of tickets are probably used every week at NLC. So if we guesstimate 5000 -8000 tickets are used at NLC a week there’s a crap ton of hwabis that people don’t want because they have a level req, had the same atk as illbis, and are ugly. Nobody would bother selling them as they are more effort to sell than it is worth. With the change hwabis will probably be dropped less and hit the fm more often.
It was a good change. Ya'll will be just fine. Worst case now you have a cool flash jump mule for hunting open world event monster spawns.
