I'm past level 30 by now, but thought i'd share. Most maple weapons drop from multiple mobs (and are usually pretty easy to farm); while maple swords drop from block golems. BLOCK. GOLEMS. Their maps are horrible to farm on. It could be helpful for others to add it to another mob. Again, i'm past this point, but i think it would help other warriors.
I strongly disagree with adding items like this on more drop tables. First of all, no normal player "needs" this item. When comparing it to other Maple Items, other classes benefit from maple weapons having no stat requirements, Warriors do not care about this and Beginners have much better items available. The only people that can make use of this item are Goby Leech Sellers that benefit from the accuracy bonus this items gives. The main reason why I want to oppose this is that adding this item to other droplists will severely devalue the item. Making another non-meta grinding spot even more useless than it already is. While it might be a bad one, removing another potential money-maker for low level players is not a right direction to take. This server needs more meaningful things to do while grinding the lower levels. This server severely lacks options for new players to take a meaningful place into the market. Very few maps on this server are worth going to - At least now those who want to experience some nostaliga or farm the Monster Book can be rewarded with something. Lastly, it can be debated if it's a good thing or not. But devalueing Goby Leech does not benefit this server. It will result in more disengaging gameplayer, that of leeching. Resulting in more empty worlds for new players further aggravating a severe issue with MMO-Design that I am at some point in the distant future going to finish my essay on f3. Anyway. While I cannot speak for you. New players are lacking meaningful and engaging things to do, not this specific item.
While i can agree on most things you said, i must point out that goby leech sellers use the lvl 43 weapon, which is a pretty easy drop. Plus it's only 8 levels away, from 35-43. Pretty fast to lvl, imo. I can also say that the item already doesn't have a place in the market, seeing that there are none (or almost none; i checked) in fm. I can see an increase in listings if they add drops elsewhere. With this in mind, i would just call it a QOL improvement.
These tables are wrong. That for the real pre-bb MS. Block golems are the only thing that drop it in Royals. The unofficial drop tables shows it too there: https://royals-drops.herokuapp.com/#/
Leveling from 35 to 43 are like 2 hrs playing or so in CPQ, the maple sword would be pointless immediately once you reach lv43. We all knew the population of this serve are decreasing days by days, yet we get same events every year, especially anniversary event, ppl basically NPC all the maple wep unless they are godly.
