NX Item Why do stores close after 24hr?

Was it always like this? I must say, setting up a store every day using a price guide is exhausting. Sometimes I just skip it. I don't have much time to play anyway nowadays.
Why not make it like once in every 3 or 7 days?

 

Exactly, imagine a stagnant store just taking up a slot for 7 days. It gives others a chance to set up their store too

 

I understand you are referring to the rare spots like 1-1 2-2 etc etc
But I'll be honest with you, I open my store at the most random spots because I know people use owl to get what they need, so they'll find me
And my items sell just fine. It's just the every day setting up that is a bit annoying to me

 

I don't know if it is the case in MapleRoyals, but in old MS you could purchase hired merchants that were up for 1 day, 7 days or 14 days. You'd have to pay more NX for the latter, naturally. Perhaps these were manually removed from the Cash Shop(?).

 

There are 1,7 and 14 days variants, but this refers to the expiritation (of having the "item" in your inventory).
OP is adressing the duration of "up-time" of a merchant shop (24h) before having to reset it again.

I believe this was the case in old MS as well.

Anyways, like others already said: I believe it should stay this way to avoid people hogging spots without any effort at all even though it's a pain sometimes.

 

Or just allow it for channel 2+

If you’re a merchant or just have alot of items to list, as op mentioned it’s quite a hassle.

I can understand long duration stores taking space in Ch1 fm but why not just allow for all the other channels. Those other channels are basically dead anyways.

It’s probably more of a coding issue though.

Ya I think shop up for more than 24 hours would be problematic... Though I wish I could save the items & the prices I had them set to, kind of a pain re-pricing every scroll

 

This is a bad idea. You are just a very lazy person who gets annoyed to open a shop that takes a few minutes to few minutes only. It doesn’t take hours, and it’s not like you are opening a shop every 15 minutes, it’s every 24 hours. Sounds like you have more than 3 stores lol?

If players had 3-7 day merchants, there would be less players in Royals, why? Because players would set up their store and just log out, and log back in 3-7 days later. Many already do this every time they open a 24hr merchant.


Don’t change something that has been working perfectly fine for years in the classic GMS and many years in royals too.

also players would abuse this. They would open 10x stores in various fm rooms / channels. There is a possibility you would have to use more owls because there are more and more players using more and more merchants.

also players would abuse this in a way someone will never allow you to use rooms 1-6 anymore, that are highly popular spots. Imagine reopening a shop every 3-7 days and not allowing anyone to get your precious spot. No thank you.

Wow ok. Very lazy person? Let's not get down those lines. I can counter any comment you made here but it's not in any of my interest, you're stubborn and stuck to your own idea.

I don't have the time to maple like I used to, and gear costs are unbelievably expensive. To get my few mils a day from merch I need to go through price guides to price the dozens of scrolls I get from gach, beause it's the only way I have to make progress. I have no time to sell my soul for leeching other people which is a normal thing in royals. I don't complain. This is how I get ahead. And if I have to go through this HELL every 24 hours then I just skip it. I stay gear less, I lose hope, and eventually quit. It's funny you mention there would be less players but I don't see that many right now? Maybe in events but you can deduct that by 3\4 because it's all mules. Btw, even as a new player, I will use owl to get what I need. Those 3m are worth my time looking for the items I want to buy. it's like searching needle in haystacks, please... I did not browse more than 2 fm rooms since 2006 in GMS. This is too time consuming. Some people don't have the time for that (again, SOME people, not ALL people)

You are a lazy person, and i suggest you stop playing mapleroyals completely if you don't have the 2-10 minutes to set up your store, which doesn't take a lot of time. I also use a price guide and sell bunch of crap almost every day. I wasn't talking about leeching at all, how is that even relevant to my original reply? Also if you have time to even play royals, you don't have time to set up a store? But you have time to reply me here instead of setting up a store? You are literally my first person i see who is complaining about setting a store is exhausting af in a mushroom game. So you are claiming people wont use more owls if there were more and more mules having more and more stores? You say this is too time consuming.. so how many mules or bots do you actually have? Tell us. Because seriously, opening a price guide and opening a store does not take a lot of time for 1 character. Yeah. there would be less players, because there are already players who log in before or after their 24 hour store closes, so they can either play royals or set it up again and log out. Imagine having a 3-7 day store where players would set up multiple stores and just log back in 3-7 days later and see " ohh i sold almost everything here, what an easy way to get mesos here while i can just sleep it off outside my PC for the next 3-7 days ". Also if players had 3-7 day stores, what makes you think someone wouldn't open multiple stores since that's a great idea to sleep and get mesos? I can already tell you would open at least 5 stores if that was the case. If that would be a thing.. players would need more owls to find a certain item, because most players here use 1 or 2 stores only, usually it's 1. From reading your post, you seem like a new player who has no mesos at all and " lose hope " easily. Yet you say you have mesos to use owls?



You didn't really counter anything, instead you whine here and victimize yourself.

I am not stubborn or stuck in my own idea. Why the hate? Just because i said you are a lazy person? There are other people in this EXACT thread telling the same thing what i just said, i just listed a few more options. To you it's okay to go to channel 17 and room 14 but the majority of players like using channel 1 for setting up their stuff just like in the old days of GMS. But you are clearly missing out that people will hog all the main channels and rooms and abuse it.

If your scrolls don't sell then make them cheaper or open another store.
