not thoroughly verified, so just hit the boss anyway! Spoiler: warning may be common sense for some this only applies to afk leeches, i.e. not hitting monster at all your 1.2x exp xmas coupon does not apply at all if you are not hitting the monster, the only way you can benefit from the 1.2x exp coupon is to leech from someone with the coupon. this means if you buy leech from mages without the coupon and you are just hanging on a rope the entire hour with the coupon in your inventory, you are still only getting 1.15x exp (15% from the event) and not 1.35x. see tl;dr below! exp from leeching shao without hitting the boss once: exp from leeching shao after hitting the boss with minimal damage, 36mil * 1.35/1.15 ~= 42mil: 6mil exp difference with 1 hit tl;dr remember to hit the bosses at least once if the attacker does not have the coupon [needs verifying] pick your mages when buying leech [needs verifying]
I know hitting the monster/boss at least once gives you a lot more exp, regardless if they have coupon or not, but shouldn’t you put leech exp difference between a mage with and without exp coupon to fit what you’re saying here? Edit: or in your case, shao leech EXP (or to be honest just any mob). 4 images, 2 with attacker no exp coupon, leecher hit and no hit. 2 with attacker on exp coupon, leecher hit and no hit.
from what i vaguely remember back when i was doing bigfoot, hitting it once with the leeching character did give more exp but i don't remember it being as much as ~16% (6mil on top of 36mil). it was a while ago so i could be wrong i only bothered getting the coupon on that one character since i don't need exp on my attackers (or mages) anymore so i wouldn't be able to provide those figures. since the exp numbers i got between both instances align with the coupon multiplier, i thought it would be useful enough to share this info to the boss leechers out there first. i just assumed that this would apply for the mage leech cases too since like you mentioned, shao leech or any mob should work the same, but you are right about that needing verification and it would be nice if anyone with the resources would go ahead and test those, though i believe most serious leech sellers would have already done it for the drop rate buff alone, so that didn't really concern me at first. however i just checked the xmas event announcement and it seems we are past the 14-day mark since the start of the event already so there are going to be coupons expiring starting now, i will remark that as unverified just in case people start to boycott mages selling leech without the coupon (royals lol >.<") coupon on attacker, coupon on leecher, leecher hitting - are 3 binary combinations so it's probably more thorough to have all 2^3 scenarios tested to get the baselines out before comparing. it's all easier said than done though since you would need characters (both attacker/leecher) in similar ranges to get some consistent numbers unless someone knows how to work out the level-exp party split works (i don't )
